If there ever was a game where we have to preach humility to the team before the game, then its this one. We've been on a good run, and I know that this will be a difficult game.
Horseshit. All other fans say this but really they LOVE him if he played for their team because he's the best forward in the league and would lift them right up the table. Don't mind you abusing him, but don't a ****ing hypocrite and make out if he was your player you'd be putting the moral high-ground before the success of your team because you wouldn't and everybody else on this forum knows it. I've seen some Chelsea, Arsenal, City and Spurs fans all say they be happy to sign him on different forums which shows just how good he is and how most teams, if their really honest, would love him playing for them.
This is the next problem we have to eradicate now. We've beaten one of the best teams in the league which should help the players mentality, but we still have that fragility where we do/play well against a big team(s), and then we play a small team and slip up. If we do put Saints to the sword, hopefully this will help the players not worry anymore about slipping up against smaller clubs after doing well against the better ones.
What a sanctimonious self righteous knob scratch you are, no wonder you have never achieved anything in life with that attitude
Heres one for you. Enjoy:
You know the Mancs obsession is hitting new hates when you see them voting for LFC lose through hatred and not reality in a Match Thread on the Liverpool board. You Mancs need to move on from us. Were over you.
Traditionally never been a happy hunting ground for us and given our ability to be consistently inconsistent this is just the kind of game we can **** up completely. However what we have now that we haven't had in a long time is a player at the top of the scoring charts who can score against any team home or away. What worries me as with any game at the moment is our complete inability to deal with half decent deliveries into our box. Hopefully if Pepe is back in goal this will be slightly less of a problem but we'll see. From what I've seen of the Saints so far under the new regime is that they seem to play quite a high line at the back. This should suit us especially with the pace of Sturridge, trickery of Suarez and Kuytinho and the current form of Gerrard. See you down there Saints and here's to a good game Come on you Reds.
Morning all Gone for a Liverpool win today think we will be to strong for their defense, not saying that they will be a push over just not able to keep up with Suarez,Sturridge and Coutinho over the full 90 min S.hampton's defense can be shaky....Saying that so is ours from time to time All in all should be a good game but we will get the 3 points
Put simply, if you turn up and perform, you win. We were brilliant against City the other week, but that shouldn't mask the fact that City were awful. Would our brilliance still have been enough, had the real City turned up? Probably not. I think the same applies here. You turn up = you over run our defence.
Really need a win today to make the Spurs result count. With Suarez, Sturridge and Cou playing hopefully we'll convert some chances.
I agree with this but as you can see we all have that nervous twitch due to the fact we've become experts at dominating but getting beat while scratching our heads. Hopefully our recent improvement/winning streak continues!
You should win this game easily , providing Arsenal lose their game , you should be sitting on 5th place by 5pm today .
Really nervous about the game today, its the type of game that we are just destined to lose after a really good run. If we lose, there we go pundits saying we have no chance of getting top 4. If we win, pundits will say we're "favourites" for top 4. If we draw, the world may implode with indifference. Either way, the pressure is on after this game. Heres hoping that we field the strongest team we can today!
The only change should be Reina for the rest same as against Spurs. Agree with Ze a bit nervous but that is with every game but the added pressure came BR himself with the headline WE CAN REACH TOP 4 but then in his next breath he says we must take game by game

Looking at the photos from training and using the well known bib theory....I predict that some of the featured players wearing bibs will get a game today. I think if we score an early goal ( say first 15 mins ) then our nerves will settle and we will win this one quite comfortably. If we go behind then it will be a test of the teams mettle as the Saints are desperate for points.
