"One man surely less at risk of the sack than most is Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway, with the Guardianâs Dominic Fifield being particularly surprised and impressed by the young sideâs good form. âThis promotion bid has come from nowhere. Ian Holloway has inherited this team from Dougie Freedman, who built it over 18 months,â says Dominic. âThe kids are very good: Wilfried Zaha we all know about, Jonny Williams is outstanding, and overall theyâve got something different. Theyâre developing real self-belief. Palace have also got a striker in Glenn Murray who has scored over 30 goals, and that helps.â
I normally don't join in this journo bashing. But what a ****ing moron. Has he just seen our owner is Egyptian and presumed he's a crazy bastard? What a racist ****.
What an absolute moron. Why would the Allams sack a manager who has done better than 99.9999999999999999999999% of fans would have expected? Once again we have the London club love-in with Palace - can someone remind me was Holloway talked of in the same way when he was Blackpool manager. Out of Cardiff, Leicester and Hull we are least likely to sack our manager - Cardiff's owners are mad (look at kit change and proposed name change) and will sack if they don't go up (simples)
Each owner will expect success after the money they've spent in recent seasons. In that respect you'd have to say that Bruce is under the most pressure to take you up. But I think it'll be one of the most ridiculous decision ever if he were to be sacked, similar to if Nigel were to be sacked.
