In the words of Martin O´Neill `It´s a big, big game´ for us too, Where a win would very nearly seal The points that would see us through But wins have been in short supply Although points have been coming in, With our form from the last six ties Four draws and that Everton win And in the same short space of time Two points only have found their way, Into the Cat´s coffers, so I´m Hoping those two were just two strays But I guess a draw here again If a win just will not appear, Would suit us more than it would them As both of us look to draw clear It´s Turner´s return to the north Along with the beast, Bassong, Both will want to show their worth And lately they´ve been looking strong But what of their latest recruit Mr. D. Graham, I ask because, When against us, and when he shoots Regrettably, he often scores Although I see he´s still to find The net since returning their way, So I´m sure that we wouldn´t mind If things stayed the same on Sunday And last year´s 0 - 3 on their patch I remember well, as a game, Where we were totally outmatched And came home with our heads in shame So if we could avoid a repeat Of that quite forgettable day, And perhaps too, keep a clean sheet Then who knows what might come our way. Hi RBF, I'm getting excited about this one, my first game attended since my living in Lincoln days, and even then, work would only allow the odd game! I have a good feeling about this, but I will sit on my hands as I'm in with the home crowd! Do you think they'd notice a Canary yellow shirt?
you going up from Weston Dave? bit of a trek. is the Coronation pub still there? used to frequent it in the 60's when i was an RAF Apprentice at RAF Locking.
I think without a doubt The yellow may stand out, So wear it perhaps next the skin And should we win, then flout
There is no pub called the coronation, though there is a coronation housing estate! RAF Locking is now private housing, the MOD moved out a few years ago!
Games against Sunderland and Newcastle have suddenly become a lot more interesting since Turner and Bassong arrived. Both being booed for being a former player at their club and being a former player at their rival's club.
I was at RAF Locking 67 to 70 and again from 85 to 88!!! They were just building the M5 when I was there the first time. I'd heard it had closed.
