I can't wait for Raylor to come back.

He's a really useful squad player. He doesn't have much pace, but if you play steady build up and get him into good positions, the bloke is a fantastic crosser of the ball with both feet, and his set piece deliveries are miles better than anyone elses in the side.

He pops up with goals and can do a good job.

    Anyone else love this bloke?

He said he's targeting the derby game for a return.

    I <3 Raylor.

Seems a good lad too, plus if we sold him he would always score against us lol

If you look at him head on he disappears. That's how thin his head is. But he's a good player.

Good squad player, not sure where he'd get any minutes in our team at the moment though.

Somehow I just feel happier when I see raylor on the team sheet. Not because he's our best defender or anything but just because he seems like such a good lad to have about and I'm always expecting that 'over the wall' moment

I miss Raylor, can't wait until he's back, what a blessing he would have been in the Stoke game, definitely a squad player, but a very decent one!

We've all forgotten Raylor. Now that we've remembered him, losing Simmo doesn't look so bad now. Debuchy with Raylor behind him in the pecking order works for me

Saw Raylor getting his hair cut on High Bridge Street last night as we left the Bacchus at about 6:15! Looked happy as Larry, top bloke!

I just wonder if we could turn him into a central midfield player as we did with Perch. His dead ball delivery is excellent, if that could translate into his passing game we'd have a gem!

Was talking to one of our long distance supporters fron dan saf in Shearer's last night and talking about the team for the night, and he mentioned 'Overthewall' and the derbies, he hasn't been forgotten.

He has played there a bit before, in the 'Jonas' role in last season's 4-3-3.

Good squad man and excellent dead ball taker. The likes of him and Jonas are exactly what you need in a good squad system. Thought Jonas did well again last night when he entered the fray. That blokes workrate is legendary

Remember towards the back end of the 10-11 campaign when Raylor got sent off against Bolton on his first start of the season, and everyone considered his Toon career as good as over. Within 6 months he was a local hero and has been a cult icon at the club ever since!

I think Raylor's a cracking defender who can add more to our team than being a squad player. Just remember lads, he practically made that LB position his own for a long time before he got injured.

Raylor is actually the best fullback in our team who can whip a ball into the box consistently decent.
Even though we have class act cabaye for set pieces, Raylor is the expert at freekicks. So having two freekick takers on the pitch is pretty lethal IMO.

I tell you what, i wouldn't be the slightest bit worried if Pardew picks him over Santon for LB duties... only once the lads back match fit like.

I think we've really missed him this season - always puts a decent shift in wherever he plays and seriously improves our dead ball options.
