As part of my toings and froings with her I've had an email from Amanda Jacks with regards the coach to Burnley that got stopped and delayed. She's aware of it happening, but would like anybody who was on the coach to contact her about it to give her the full picture of what exactly went on.

I realise the majority of us weren't on, and she's not after 300 random people emailing her to complain about it, but if anybody knows anybody who was on the coach, or knows how to contact them could you please pass the request on. She's contactable on the usual email address:

Copied your post onto the CI as some on there have spoken with people that were on the bus.

Seemingly the driver didn't want to work that night in the first place,

"the organiser of the coach said on greeting the driver "you allright mate?"
to which he replied "no not really i hate taking football fans" "

Proper professional attitude. Excellent corporate image. <doh>

Fair play to those on the bus for not reacting. Seemingly the driver had the same piss poor attitude on the drive home, refusing to stop despite the toilet being out of order. More power to the argument that even under provocation the fans didn't react.

I rather think that no matter what you say to the fsf, the WYP will stand by the driver's version of events.

They didn't. Hence no arrests and all fans watched the game. Given WYP would delight in finding any excuse to back their position, that says all that needs to be said.

On tuesday nights Sportstalk Mike White said that Radio Humberside had been in touch with the coach company.

They said that ""The driver phoned back to his boss who phoned the Police and the bus was stopped. Driver sighted drunken yobs on board""

You can listen again to it on the BBC RADIO Humberside listen again option. You have until tuesday before its gone.
It came on about 6.45pm (45mins into the programme)

Yep, that's what was said, and the driver may well have said that. He also said before they set off he hates taking football fans. It's illegal to gave drink on a football coach or to attempt to enter a football stadium whilst under the influence ( a lesser standard than drunk) and despite them itching for something to hang on City fans, WYP, despite the provocation, could find no reason to arrest anyone or prevent them entering the ground. So perhaps the drivers eye sight's not all it should be. The coach company really need to look at the recruitment policy as it would seem their customer care leaves a lot to be desired.
