Reve De Sivola for me. Don't buy this ground malarkey, yes he goes in heavy but he ran behind Peddlers in the Neptune on good and won a G1 race on good at Punchestown. He is simply a better hurdler than he was a chaser.
Do we think Nicholls is badly out of form or has he just not had the ammunition? Sam Winner was obviously a fancy but he went off short enough last winter and was well beaten.

What a weird race. Well done Solwhit backers and delighted for the horse, but it was a strange, strange race. Coming down the hill I thought Bog Warrior was going to win hard held but ran out of steam. I thought Dickie panicked on RDS and shot his bolt trying to close down the leader - he actually stayed on quite nicely for 4th. Oscar Whisky is a non-stayer, they need to admit that now, he's never even got involved.
