Couple of easy "home made" posers.

Deal done runs in the 4.40 today.Which previous Festival winner carried these colours?

Also the Wylies almost landed a treble yesterday.Who was the last owner (think!) to land a treble on the Wednesday of the festival and what were the horses?

    bloody difficult day isnt it!

I thought that Dynaste was a certainty in the opener but the 2 irish horses have had their form franked this week.
I prefer AUPCHARLIE to Texas Jack
In the 2nd again I thought Sam Winner was a clear favourite but again 2 I am going each way on are JUNIOR and CLOSE HOUSE.

The Ryanair should be a shoot out between CUE CARD and FIRST LIEUETENANT. I can't split them

If Oscar Whisky doesn't stay in the World Hurdle then I am going for SMAD PLACE each way

The 4.00 looks impossible - 3 I have picked in this - VINO GRIEGO, HUNT BALL and KAPGA DE CERISY.

4.40 is even harder! - Slight preference for SUPER DUTY

And the 5.15 OUTLAW PETE to get the better of Arabella Boy

Was it the horse who also won a Paddy Power? Mount Oscar or some such?

Was it the 2002 Champion Bumper, Supreme Developer, owned by Mrs A N Durkan?

Morning Stick, taken from a website i used to be a member of but appear to have free membership to now

    charlie longsdon on frisco depot

He has come out of his last race on really good form and I think he has a very good each way chance with the jockey riding full of confidence.

After poring over the cards all morning I'm really not much closer. I've picked 4 for a small stakes e/w Lucky 15, and probably a round robin on the other 3. Anyways, small stakes day for sure, here we go:

    1.30 Module e/w
    2.05 American Trilogy e/w
    2.40 First Lieutenant
    3.20 Reve De Sivola
    4.00 Vino Griego e/w
    4.40 Prince Of Pirates e/w
    5.15 Arabella Boy

Right owner, wrong horse..think SD ran unplaced in the Champion Bumper.

    1980 was the year.

Going well Dex, the Fly has ensured that the festival will be a success no matter what happens, as I had him very well backed the week before when the bookies were laying him left, right and centre. Quevega was the icing on the cake so it's definitely been a good week. Day 2 was not successful and day 3 looks tricky also. Like you though, tomorrow I think we've the foxhunters sorted, and am very sweet on the gold cup being yet another trophy that'll be heading into a bulging trophy box heading for Co Carlow...

Marito in the first e/w at 33s looks fair and think First Lieutenant comes up the hill stronger than Cue Card, think he might just shirk the fight slightly and the Ryanair always is a war up the hill. World Hurdle is a minefield, but Solwits form, at worst, matches OW, (using the Hurricane) but I'm suspecting Solwit won't be staying this trip...Any views on this Dex, I haven't followed the racing as much this winter as in other years? Will he get Cheltenham's 3 miles on the Old Course? No pressure! <laugh>

Another tough day but dont think it could be as bad as yesterdays was! Handicaps are brutal

    1.30 - Aupcharlie / Module EW
2.05 - Sam Winner / Close House EW
    2.40 - First Lieutenant
3.20 - Bog Warrior / GMOOH EW call me mad but i think the Irish form will prevail again and GMOOH on drying ground.
    4.00 - Ballynagour / Hunt Ball EW
    4.40 - Romanesco
    5.15 - Bostons Angel

    I'm on Oscar Whiskey Beefy.

I think he'll stay and just hope the hurdle track on the New Course is as quick as the one on the Old Course.

Solwhit is a lively outsider and So Young gave his form a boost but hard to believe he's as good over 3m but has to have a e/w chance in an open year.

More worried about Bog Warrior who, despite being 9-y-o,is relatively unexposed. If he stays he could be dangerous.

    Open if hardly vintage renewal.

    FL looks a knocking bet.

Afternoon all. My only real bet today will be Captain Conan, for some reason i really just don't fancy Dynaste.
Might have a little go with small stakes on
    American Triolgy
    Riverside Theatre
    Super Duty

    Best of luck

Agree Dex, poor race and to be fair historically it's always been the poor relation in the festival championship races. Maybe Big Bucks has changed that to a degreee in raising it's 'prestige'. Thats why I laugh when people pipe up about throwing Quevega into it, it's hardly like she'd be winning a Champion Hurdle or Gold Cup anyway. Rant over <laugh>
    Time for the racing GL!

RP screwed me! <laugh> Dexter, take a look at RP, type-in Mrs A N Durkan, then Owners, click, (click the second one), then big race winners, and the silly sods indicate SD as the winner, do they not, with Mrs D winning close to 12k quid? Unless I've got this all wrong too! Jeeez, can't get a winner even if RP tell me! :emoticon-0112-wonde

In fact, as you rightly said SD was unplaced, 6th of 23 I think?).
