That's the thing though Cest, MON isn't a class act, he's ****ing clueless without Robertson who has obviously carried the bloke for years.

I don't agree with that Billy. Mon is a class act imo but as a club, we are a managers and players graveyard.

I despair at where we go now as Mon represented the real deal to me. Another management change is just ignoring the fact we keep employing managers that all end in utter failure very quickly.

We need one to lay some foundations and then build a far better project than just relegation candidates year after year.

I want this to be Mon but I fear too many have now made up their mind he has to go and I just don't have the desire to see him abused and booed next season.

Therefore I'm semi retiring from the club. Time to devote more time to other things after 39 seasons. I'll never stop loving the club or stop completely from going but to be honest I'm tired of the constant failures and having to find excuses I no longer believe in myself to defend the indefensible.

Thing is kidda its not the survival that I'm waiting for.

I can just see the in-fighting, turmoil and ****e happening again next year and I'm sick of it now.

I wanted so much more than this under Martin and if he can't deliver then maybe its time for me to evaluate my part in the whole affair

My daughter is 8 now and I'd sooner spend that time with her than miserable as **** at the match every week.

The prroblem is a simple one, a manager who has made bad buys, played boring negative tactics, poor selection and substitutions.

Not Shorts fault or the clubs fault, all down to a past his sell by date manager.

My daughter is the same age and me and the mother split up when she was 2. I work all week, so have the bairn all weekend which made me give my season ticket up 6 years ago. You could say its been a blessing in disguise.

Spend time with your little girl mate, you owe the club nowt and in return they probably owe you a letter of apology. Every weekend you will feel fulfilled and can start taking her to all the local attractions and slowly but surely, the defeats hurt less as well.

Good luck in whichever route you take <ok>

I split up with my ex when my daughter was 2 as well mate and tbh, I go everywhere with her now. Grandparents have her for 3 or 4 hours when I'm at the match.

She is going with me Sunday on the school tickets and that's what I will do next year.

I owe SAFC nowt though that's true. 39 years at home and a good 15 years travelling the country from 17 to 32.

I've been patient. I've given everything.

I've got **** all left to give and yet on Saturday, I watched the same ****e I have been watching for nearly all those 39 years.

We haven't even got one percent better in 39 years. It's a lost cause and maybe I just woke up to it

Totally understand mate. If she is naughty, you can take her to a game as punishment. You will have the best behaved little girl ever. These are probably the best years coming up and you are doing the right thing. SAFC will improve though. Things will get better!

Mate i have no doubts that if I was writing this in another 16 years I'd be sadly saying exactly the same thing as I am now. We wont be any better by then either.

Sad thing is QWOP that I'm taking the bairn on Sunday with the school tickets and shes really excited. This will be her 3rd game this season and shes getting the bug, just as her old man is losing his. I'm not sure whether I want to inflict this ****e on her or encourage her to seek entertainment elsewhere and thats a very sad thing for me to say. I always dreamed of taking my kids to games and enjoying it together as I did with my old fella.

The really worrying thing for SAFC is I have been talking to 3 other lads I know who also have been going for 40+ years, and they too are not renewing and its got nowt to do with the manager. Even if MoN was replaced I think its all about too many false dawns and failed promises.

I've done 15 seasons now on a ST and this is the last, didnt bother going to Fulham, in two minds about Norwich and gave my ticket to a mate who's a man utd fan for their game, doubt I'll go back again this season.

Gettin bored of over-paid footballers in the sky generation, seriously thinking about going back to watching Blyth in the Evo-stick premier....

MON needs a bit of time, Rome was not built in a day, I am prepared to give him another season.

As for renewal, I didn't after the 14pt season and have not had a season card since which to be honest when you consider the 400 mile round trip has probably been a sensible decision.

To me we are just lacking quality players: Migg, Sess, Fletcher, Rose are our only real quality players with Gardner and NDaiye having done "alright". The rest have been poor, even JOS who is good an organising is out of his depth when it comes to playing. A big clear out is needed and genuine quality bought in.

2 x CB's, 1 Midfielder, 2 x strikers are whats needed as a minimum and they are need to be quality like the fore mentioned 4.

The signing of Graham showed our ambition, forget him being a mag he is just simply not a quality player Wickham would have done just as good a job.
