I know the situation we find ourselves in is purely ridiculous, but i strongly believe we wouldn't sell 4000 tickets anyway. I'm sure I've seen this mentioned somewhere on here. We took 356 (myself included) to Burnley last night. I know the weather was bad etc but we were hardly in snow drifts and travelling on roads which were impassable. We are in 2nd place and taking 356 to Burnley is downright embarrassing and I can't for the life of me see us taking 4000 to Hudds.

As the game is being boycotted by the vast majority, it's somewhat academic.

Had none of this nonsense happened, I'd have expected about 2,000 to go.

Monday night away at Burnley on TV is never going to be a big away attendance

Even if they lift all Huddersfield restrictions now it has left a very bitter taste for a lot of people

The way its looking at the moment 1700 tickets will be more than enough regardless.

Huddersfield Town are the ones who will suffer thanks to the crass actions of WYP.

Plus the state of the Udders pitch wont make it a great game to watch. It could well be similar to the Burnley game in entertainment. Just hope the result is the same.

And to complete that, there would definitely have been protests if they'd said 4,000 bubblewrapped fans could attend.

It's a civil liberties issue, not a numerical one.

I believe we would be touching 4K the way things are going- we might be top of the league by then- and we would certainly sell it out under those circumstances.

Who'd of thought that we'd take nearly 7,000 to Hillsborough on a Tuesday night? It's about being given the chance to take 4,000 to Huddersfield. And if we're still second by that time it could happen.

Just heard on Sports talk that last night it was a bus from Eddie Brown taking City supporters to the game and they contacted Police because of drunken behaviour on the coach and they refuse to take any supporters to a City match again unless it is through the club. Sports talk say they will try and get a view from anyone that was on the coach.
If that is right then it doesn't look good does it.

    It seems to contradict this.

Yes I just read the other thread after I posted. I am just quoting what was on the Radio. Humberside said they were contacted by the bus company about this. I think ISIPLT just mentions the tiger travel people. Might have been a private individual who hired a coach for a group of supporter. You can listen back on Sports talk it was somewhere in the last 15 mins. They spoke to Burnsie about it so he might have something on twitter.

This smacks of collusion and bullshit to me.

I wasn’t on the coach so naturally I would always reserve absolute judgement, however, I would be cautious in judging a report from a coach driver/company who are based in WYP’s jurisdiction.

As stated, I wasn’t there, but I think the possibility they’re purposefully exaggerating a bit of singing and merriment to assist WYP and their crusade is entirely plausible.

it's an offence to have alcohol on a football coach or to try to enter a football ground under the influence of alcohol. WYP would have loved any opportunity to arrest a City fan. The fact they all went to the game and all came home says it all.

Ever heard of principles and freedom of movement for football fans?I reckon on the best of days and under the circumstances, there would be a potential for 1000 but I d prefer the choice. I d also like to see WYP detail plans. For dealing with the arrival of some 70 coaches into Huddersfield within the space of 30 minutes of the kick off!

I didn't make it clear enough:

There was only one tiger travel coach, I was on it.

There was also one Eddie Brown coach which wasn't a TT one, this will have been the one stopped at HM services.

    Sure. It says either:

    1. There was no alcohol or drunks on the bus

    or

    2. WYP dealt with by having a quiet word and let them go.

Im seriously starting to believe you'd rather there had been arrests.

It says a lot but it certainly does not say it all. More rumours still to come on this and at some point further down the line, after saturday perhaps, some facts may emerge as well. TWT.
