I don't think chasing a 4pt lead(potentially 7) instead of a 3pt lead (potentially 6) makes much difference to us considering our ****e goal difference. we still need a 2and a half game **** up from them... I don't think we will over-take cardiff, I don't get why people are even mentioning it but if we get real close then we'll surely secure 2nd spot.

We're trying to catch one team, so we need one team to drop results. They're trying to catch 3 teams so need 3 teams to drop results. If from 7 points behind with 9 to play they caught us then it still wouldn't be 2nd place we're looking at because the other 2 won't also drop all those points.

This point that cardiff have gained over us tonight... will only matter if we are in contention to go in front of them by then end of the season... right?

BUT if we are in such a position then surely 2nd spot will be in the bag by then no?

For 2 spots to become open, we need cardiff to lose 4/5 games out of their last 10 and for us to obviously win most... that is not a scenario that is likely and that should be focused on.

With watford and palace already in the mix and forest improving , I really wouldn't want a 4th team like lester to gain any sort of momentum

That point means where a draw would suffice to overtake them, we now need a win. But I'd guess if they capitulate, and we're as good as we'd need to be over the next 9 games to catch them, the goal differences would change a bit and we'd have more than half a chance of hopping them whilst being equal on points.

Remember, we only need to close the gap on Cardiff to 2 points (or 3 goal difference depending) before the last game. So when you look at it what looks like a 4 point/possible 7 point gap now is really a 1 point/4 point gap.

Wendies really need to beat cardiff on saturday, they need points so they could get something from it, if we beat forest we find ourselves 1 point behind them with them having just 1 game in hand, throws it right open considering we play them last, a draw tonight with cardiff at home is an excellent result for us

Forest are on a good run but they've beaten Wolves, Huddersfield and Ipswich at home then Charlton and Wendies away. I know it's an 'anything can happen' league but it's hardly startling opposition.

Different kettle of fish playing us at the KC.

I think we will win the league .

Hopefully Cardiff will lose as often as possible . Same with Watford and palace .

    We win the league

    Second spot becomes wide open

You can't write anyone off in this league.

Huddersfield have got 4 points off Palace- we didn't.

Ipswich gave us a massive scare earlier in the season- if we play like that against Forest we won't hear the last of the whingers.

Wednesday (as bullshit man said(have done well against all of the top teams.

Brighton playing in their grudge match v Palace.

    Barnsley scrapping for points.

    Wolves scrapping for points.

We've got to get the points on the board ourselves and not get bailed out by other results.

ah yeah I see what he's saying... I drew a diagram to understand it better.

it is mathematically possible, but fairly unlikely that any team behind us (apart from Watford) are likely to finish ahead of us.

You've well got some midlands lingo man and you're as delusional as most of the ****s round here. You'd fit fine on the forest and Leicester boards man.
