Nothing to add that hasn't been said already really - just find this a bit sad really and think a couple of the more delicate souls need to strap a pair on...its the internet - theres plenty to be offended by...and if honest ive not seen anything thats overstepped the mark (surely a pink handbag wasnt the sum total?) - I enjoy the banter on here, well, when it's not of the condescending nature that a couple of posters seem to have adopted since the old 606 - but then i leave them to it... Some of my favourite reads are carrabuh and beef going at it - does tht really need to be filtered out? Not sure the thread needed to exist and seems to have stirred further ill feeling, which I know wouldn't have been Dave's hope on it's creation. I think what is worrying me more than anything at the moment - we've lost the good feeling tht we had about the place.

I've only seen one lot of name calling (quite disgusting name to call a fellow fan), and I don't recall you even commenting on it. I like you Dave but I do feel you pick and choose your moments to intervene depending on who it is. Some of the names and disrespecting comments I've had thrown my way (I don't honestly mind, its deserved at times and I'm quite happy to deal with it) particularly when the results were good and nobody could see the present discussion points developing. But I don't recall any of the mods saying anything because you disagreed with what I was saying. I can categorically say that it is incredibly rare for myself to start throwing the name calling into the ring and you will find it is a heck of a lot more common on your own side of the fence than from mine. I might be belligerent at times but I'd honestly say that on these boards I've had much more abuse (and worse) coming my way than what I dish out. By the way, I'd far rather have it this way than this rather ill informed attempt to spoil everyones enjoyment. You'll probably find there's been more interest on here than for a long time (in fact its been noted by a few how they've enjoyed the arguments and discussion). Discussion, argument, and at times hostility and emotion are what generates a vibrant and interesting board. Not back slapping sycophants.
carrabuh, I have never proposed back-slapping sycophancy, I too enjoy a good debate, I just don't like someone calling someone else names with no explanation of why they hold their particular viewpoint, as for the name-calling, I defy you to find that post,it's been deleted, as has the one immediately after as he had replied with quote, thereby leaving it open on the forum! Once you realise that it's no longer there, you may pm the poster and ask if he has heard from me regarding his post!
I fail to see where this has happened prior to your article And I'm certainly not suggesting you delete anything two grown adults say to each other. The labelling of a fellow fan being a **** says far more about himself and so you should of left it on. I certainly won't be showing any respect (granted there wasn't alot before) for his views again.
I suspect that's the reason why you have appeared to be difficult to have a sensible debate with for other posters in the past and with me over the last couple of days!
The debate on this thread goes to prove that this forum is important to lots of posters as a means of discussing their passion for Norwich City. I, for one, find it informative, entertaining and fun. I hope noone leaves because it's the diversity of views and posters that makes it what it is.
Interesting how you dismiss posts. This posts have nothing to do with entertainment so what does it matter that its boring?
Perhaps that is where you go wrong, if your not on here to be entertained or stimulated in some way then how do you expect others to enjoy your thoughts. Although I'm glad you find my dismissal of posts interesting, at least one of us finds the other amusing to a certain degree.
