My instant reaction to the highlights was to think that Guly would subsequently be in trouble. I'd be slightly surprised if anyone else got punished though.
Not quite, he gave offside, then allowed the goal only after consulting with the linesman to check what he had seen. If our players hadn't made a fuss, we wouldn't have got the decision.
Seem to remember Dean Hammond in particular explaining to the referee why it wasn't offside. The referee then went over to tell the linesman had come off a Pompey player before Sharp turned the ball in.
Everyone keep their hands behind their backs. Deliberate or not, Dowd will rarely not give handball in the box. And indeed that is what we got our penalty for.
Saints have been charged by the FA for failing to control players following Penalty Decision: http://www.thefa.com/News/governance/2013/mar/southampton-charged-120313.aspx
Nothing for Pochettino's actions then. Just the players. Understandable. However... Zaha flicking the finger - charged Saints surrounding the ref - charged Ferdinand jumping Torres, off the ball? - no charge
It's a joke. As I've said on the Chelsea board, it's ridiculous how you get charged for this yet Rio gets nothing for kicking someone in the the back of their legs. ****ing disgrace tbh. Absolutely despise Rio and the FA...
Yes, have to agree with you on this one, could have done some real damage to Torres, and then to pretend it wasn't deliberate? No justice.
Exactly... the way he picks up Torres in the way that Torres is as fault just makes Rio look an even bigger twunt... Hate him
Ferdinand jumping Torres, off the ball? - no charge ____________________________________ The clapping in the refs face as well, he must have some dirt on someone high up!
