Hi Boys & Girls It's been a long time since I have posted any comments i used to be on the old beeb 606 forum and have been keeping up to date with activities on here with the excellent tipsters. Anyway on to today. I hope they get this meeting on as for the first time in 15 years I'm having to work. although I have blagged this afters off and friday afters off but obviously missing the other two days ( highlights will have to do ) I see that Ted Walsh has put up Colour Squadron as his charity bet with the cheeky notion that AP didnt try to hard last time!!! I've got a few ante post on and for a change I will get a run for my dough but for today I will be having a few sheckles on The Package@ 2.40. If memory serves it was either or nearly fav for this race last year after a year off and I think the Hennessy form is the best staying chase form about this season and he ran well to be fourth in that.
"However, if the Glenfarclas Handicap Chase is to go ahead, the banks course must pass a further inspection at 2.15pm."
Frankfurt airport closed until 13.00 local time and then god knows what sort of ****ing chaos will break out. I'm sinking strong german ale by the litre and have written today off. Hopefully I'll make it across for tomorrow's racing, as long as no ****ing twat from Lufthansa pissing me off. Honestly the swear words have't been invented. Good luck to you all and come on the fly and simonsig - if those 2 go in I'm going fecking ballistic yeeeeeeeeee-hah
Racing at Saint-Cloud has been abandoned because snow at the major training centre of Chantilly has prevented any horseboxes leaving. The meeting was due to feature the debut of Purely Priceless, the first offspring of Peeping Fawn.
Oddy, I know its a pisser BUT this isn't the vintage opening day like some years. You have 3 top quality days still to come!
Here are PN's selections for the day! E/W Lucky 15: Supreme Novices - Cheltenian Champion Hurdle - Countrywide Flame Mares Hurdle - Kentford Grey Lady Novice Hcap Chase - Carlito Brigante Singles: Supreme Novice - Champagne Fever Mares Hurdle - Kauto Shiny e/w
Aye **** it Toppy - I'll pop the blackberry on for a quick charge and experience day 1 live on not 606. There's folk starving in the world after all. Time to charge the bb and some more ale for me. Snow has eased a little but still coming down.
Sorry to hear that Oddy, get the ale down yer and find somewhere to watch the racing. Can't share your enthusiasm for Simonsig though pal!
It appears that it is to run as originally intended with the cross country as the fifth leg(despite being after the 6th leg), and if it is not run it will be settled on the 5 races.
Hello lads. Oddy that is heart breaking mate and so unexpected at this time of year...hope the rest of the week improves for you.
First of all I'd like to say, gutted for ya Oddy, Day 1 fancies, 2-05=Champagne Fever. 2-40=Simonsig. 3-20=Loch ba, E/W. 4-00=Zarkandar. (Nap) 4-40=Arabella Boy. Une Artiste. Kruzhlinin.E/W. Good luck to all.
Only nine go to post for the Neptune tomorrow. I can't ever remember a smaller field for this race. It does look a quality renewal mind you.
