The first - and only - time I saw him 'in the flesh' was the opening day fixture against Doncaster in 2009 - a match in which both he and Doyley had shockers. Unfortunately for Scott Severin on his debut, the fans appeared to hold it against him for not being able to cover for their mistakes. Never understood that one.
Sounds like Bond will be in goal again with Almunia still injured Neuton out for a while with discolated shoulder..had a lot of bad luck this season.
Good news here I think. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10275361.Zola_confident_Bond_will_sign_new_deal/
Goog news. I've just seent he Sheffield Wed highlights. He needs to work on his dangerous backpass handling but made some great saves after, was impressive against Wolves too.
Another game moved for the cameras... http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/watfordfc/watfordfcnews/ Trip to Leicester will now be on Friday, April 26th.
When did sky EVER think about the actual physical supporters? But the clubs take their money. I can't get home , so I'm stuffed. With luck it will all be over, we'll be up, and it will be an awful game. Serve them right. (Maybe it's a football League plot to minimise our support, make it harder for us, and less likely for them to have to impose points deduction!) It also messes up everybody else, as it could completely change how the other clubs approach games. They fix the last one of the season to avoid 'artificial' results,(although 1245 is horrible for long-distance supporters, but at least Thank God they've abandoned Sunday) so how is the penultimate match not likely to be as significant. As a matter of interest, does anyone know if a club can refuse to cooperate with a TV demand for a time switch.
Every team must play one home game per season. To facilitate that, I would assume that the rules give away clubs relatively little say. There's zero chance of this happening, but I suppose in theory Leicester could turn the cameras down? Surely they've already played a home game?
IIRC they have had quite a few televised (and therefore day or time changed) - their fans were grumbling not long ago about how few Saturday afternoon matches they were having, and the cost to season ticket holders who were unable to attend on the re-arranged day. They have a bloody good point really & there must be something that can be done about it. As someone who rarely gets to attend games anyway, this latest one stuffs my plans for the second time this season - I had planned to go to the Hull game on Easter Monday, scuppered thanks to TV/police/FL and now this one too as there's no way i can get there for a Friday night.
I think that Leicester fans will have had just one Saturday home game in 2013. This is not funny when you think that some parents might take their child to an afternoon game, but don't want to go to an evening game. These are the next generation of fans and need to be at games, not sat in front of the TV
Oh well, will need to book off that afternoon off now...45 mins on the train from Bedford, so not too much of a big issue for me
I might not be able to make it now. I dont know how much holiday time I have left. Its really pissing me off, and about! Come to think of it, I dont know if Dad is working.
