Just been announced that Harvin has been traded to the Seahawks for as-of-yet undisclosed draft picks pending a medical. Huge move, could really put the Seahawks over the top, if Harvin can stay healthy then they could wreak havoc.

Vikings on the other hand are in a hole at WR, their only two contracted wide-outs are now Jairus Wright and Steven Burton... Surely they're going to invest there in free agency?

*EDIT* Looks as if the picks are this years first rounder and seventh rounder, and a mid-rounder next year. You never really know with draft picks, you could end up getting a Brady or a Morris etc. late on and it will work brilliantly, but for me the Seahawks are the winner here by a mile.

Fantastic trade... good for both teams because Harvin really wanted out. Two first rounders for Vikings this year, and an incredibly talented player for Seahawks.

In other very interesting news, Anquan Boldin (who, after rejecting a paycut, was expected to be cut) has been traded to the 49ers for a 6th round pick.

They'll have the cap space to do so now, and the draft picks too <ok>

Its actually worked out pretty well for the Vikes imo. Harvin wanted out, has been injured for about 50% of his career at the Vikes and seemed like a bit of a twat. They've effectively traded him for Jennings, a first and 7th pick in this years draft and a probable 3rd next year.

This is the make or break season for Ponder, first season he was thrown to the wolves as a rookie. **** O-line, no WR's of note to throw deep to and a generally poor team. Last season he showed quite a lot of progression imo. Yes the main reason we got into the playoffs was because of AP, but Ponder still had quite a few clutch moments in the run in (where we had to win the last 5 games to get into the playoffs). Now he has a genuine "proper" WR in Jennings, and hopefully a good rookie #2 to compliment him, we can actually see if Ponder can become the franchise QB the Vikes hoped for when they drafted him.
