At least we have a team that A) can qualify for champions League football and B) Win more often than your team can
You wanted to bet me that QPR would not beat your lot 2-1, so your betting skills aren't much to talk about.
I think the partnership he is forging with Jay Rod will strike a few soon. Jay Rod looks as though he is coming to terms with what Rickie can do and has come so close to scoring from Rickie flicks passes etc. Lallana does not look as comfortable on the right and not having a genuine right/left winger has at times proved costly. Drop/rest Rickie and see how much he is missed.
He'll be eager to score against Liverpool. Bench him against Chelsea, bring him on and he will score like he did in the reverse fixture.
Been turned down for a contract extension by Cortese. Why do you think all these West Ham rumours keep on appearing in the papers? That's his agent, especially on the back of his comments not long ago that he "wanted to end his career at Saints". All the usual agent negotiation tactics, but Cortese not having it.
In that case, seems reasonable to wait. Rickie must be sweating on it (especially if he wants an Eterna watch), but no reason for Cortese to do so.
Any chance of a little favour? Three points for us and I will never run you or Club down again, ever, not that I have already mind.....
Of course I do. He's more deserving than Puncheon and on a par at least with Kelvin. I imagine Rickie maybe thinking "if they get a contract and I don't, I may have to move on sooner than summer 2014" Damn sure his agent is thinking that as there is either only one more new contract or transfer left in Rickie's career. His stock may not be as high as it is now ever again, hence the tabloid rumours.
I think he's looked quite sluggish most of the season actually but his qualities are there for all to see. He tends to drift out of games a lot and some of his passing is laboured but so did Le Tissier and his contributions were vast. I think our setup does not help him. Especially when Ramirez plays (as others have stated) because they just don't seem to click. I know I would rather have Lambert in the team but he definitely needs to improve his movement and final ball to fit more into the team philosophy. We all know he won't skin 3 players and bang it in the net. He finds it difficult because we have no real pace in attack to create opportunities for him to nod in. Recently he's not really been doing what he's good at.... Winning balls in the air, holding it up and bringing other players into the game and that's why some people have noticed but credit where it's due he's up there with the goals and he will undoubtedly get a few more crucial ones before the end of season. I've tried to keep my opinion balanced, he's a great player but I think he is capable of more.
