Just stuck something similar on the Sunderland board and thought I'd see what our own fan's thought were on our own club...

Basically I began by asking whether changes at the top were needed...For Sunderland I believe they are, I think we, as a majority, seem fairly happy with our backroom staff (I know Jimiley is particularly attached to Pardew's beard). But I know there are still some who haven't and will never take to Pardew, Boa being one, but other fans such as Thomas (I Sit Next To a Badger) who goes to every game home and away has always hated him. If you would axe Pardew - who would it be for?

The next, more relevant question, is what 5 changes would you, if you were Mike Ashley, like to see implemented at the club. This can include playing staff, backroom staff, playing philosophy or infrastructure?

    Ok...go!

    Part 1:

Keep Pardew. No doubt for me, he took over in rough circumstances, performed incredibly well last season and has us 7th in the form table for 2013 (not including European football). If we beat Anzi, who lets not forget we 2nd favourites to win the competition outright, we'll have done fantastically well!

    Part 2:

    1) Youth Team. The Category B status attached to our Academy is a disaster in terms of Ashley's long term goal for the club. Why buy top youth talent if others can come in and cherry pick it from us. We know what the guidelines for Category A status is, lets use this new TV revenue to meet the guidelines and continue to build from the bottom.

    2) A top to bottom philosophy. What is the most impressive thing about Barcelona? For me, it is the fact that every single team, be it their U12's to their First Team, play with the same philosophy. It is the perfect tool for developing youth players to comfortably make the step up. If you know that when you get on the ball, your tactics and mentality should be the same whether your 14-24, in the reserves or in the CL, it allows you to focus entirely on the game in hand. We need to implement a footballing style form top to bottom!

    3) Singing section: Its been alluded to in recent articles, but the atmosphere at St James' has really taken a knock since L7 was disbanded. An allocated singing section gives the rest of the stadium a boost in terms of noise. When small pockets of fans try to start chants, they soon disappear, but when its a wall (or at hte very least a corner) of noise, it builds and reverberates around the ground. Bring in a singing section and bring back the noise!

    4) Tiote. Tiote is a beast, he can control a game on his day, but he is an absolute liability at times and whilst I agree that referees sometimes punish him unneccessarily, the penalty on Sunday is the perfect example of him not thinking and potentially costing us points. Perhaps its time to search for an alternative. I like Anita, whilst I don't know if he is physical enough, he has been unlucky to lose his place in the team and I feel a bit sorry for him. Maybe a change in tactics would see him become more important? Maybe a new signing is what is needed, but either way, this Tiote problem needs fixing.

    5) Replacements. This one is tough, when we have a fully fit Starting XI, Cisse is getting plenty of the ball and we are playing well, I wouldn't change much in terms of attacking options. But if he gets injured our alternatives don't bear thinking about (No striker against Anzhi is what I'm talking about). Campbell needs time to play, but I think a long term loan next season is more appropriate for him. Shola is not a Premier League starter and there isn't anyone else I feel is ready for the step up. So, a new striker is a must. CB, if, as I think we all expect, Colo goes in the summer, then we need another CB, Streete again looks good, but give him time in the Championship to see how he copes. Williamson is good cover, but not good enough against the top sides and STaylor is injury prone.

    1) Youth Team - Just to echo what you said really. A large portion of the new money should be channeled into the youth system. The whole infrastructure did not meet the criteria, but I believe it may not be far away now. Even so lets set about making it one of the best. Let's invest heavily in getting the best and most qualified coaches through our doors and finally get a proper sustainable model that we can feel proud of.

    2) Replacements/recruitment - Competition for Cisse is the glaringly obvious one we need. Shola's replacement now would be good. I'd be happy for that to be Carroll but I doubt very much he'd fancy a squad role. I'd take Wickham if we could, I rate him as a big fella option. I'd like to be at the stage where we have two first choice strikers (whether they both play or not Cisse and AN Other), one youngster (Campbell), and one development player or someone we can develop but has a goal record in the lower leagues or the like (Austin?). That allows Campbell to go out on loan with a call back.

Colo will go for me and we need to replace him with a first choice centre back of Mbiwa type quality. Yes Saylor is very good but he isn't to be relied upon. We need 3 first teamers. Then I'd promote Streete or if not sign a younger centre back we can develop. Forget Willo for me, he is championship being brutal.

After that we don't have any pressing needs. Simpson will go but we do have Raylor, Debuchy, Santon, Haidara. If we were to sign a full back, then I'd maybe look at a left back. In midfield the only area I'd maybe look at is the wide areas. I think Jonas might go if Colo does. Personally I think we'd miss him because its about having a variety of options for me. Defensive winger wise, he is as good as it gets. I still like Ince though if we do want another attacking wide option to complement HBA/Gouf.

    3) Player departures - I don't mind seeing Willo, Simpson, Obertan, Gosling depart on the other side of things.

    4) I'd like a singing section. Preferably I'd like a standing section! Never gonna happen but it was safe as houses back in the day and that atmosphere has never been matched in the new stadium - not even games like the Arsenal 4-4 or Mackem 5-1 - it was that fecking good.

    5) We must retain Pardew. Lets give a manager real time and see what happens. Furthermore if we are going well and Europe is possible (assuming we don't win the Europa this year), lets prepare for Europa. By that I mean getting more staff to Pardew so that we can mitigate the effect of Europe in terms of preperation. Not only split the playing staff like we have been of late, but the coaching staff too.

    1. A deciated set piece coach. We take set pieces singularly badly. For whatever reason, Pardew does not seem to be able to improve this. We need someone to devote his attnetion full time to improving this. It would probably be worth a dozen points a season.

    2. A dedicated back 5 coach. Much the same as what is said above.

    3. A striker, young but with promise. Even the magical Mr Carr is unlikely to get that cheap, so we will need to part with a bit of coin.

    4. Don't let Colo go for free. We told him what his contract said in January - - that hasn't changed. If no one is willing to pay us the price of a first rate young CB prospect (say £5m of Graham Carr money) then tell him he's just going to have to make himself happy on the Tyne.

    5. Tiote: ask the referees to tell him what he needs to do. tell him he's playing in the reserves til he does it.

    1- less hoofball
2- a set piece coach (Nobby?)
    3- a quality striker
    4- up Pardew's and Carr's wages
5- all spare tickets each game being given FOC to the armed forces.

    1. Retain Pardew - consistency is something we really need right now.
    2. Any players shipped out (e.g. Simpson, Willo, Gosling etc) must be replaced otherwise we're back to square one squad wise
    3. Players in - striker (definitely) and I'd really like us to buy one out and out winger, not necessarily for every game but so we've another option
    4. Develop youth set up (pretty much as everyone's said)
    5. Set piece coach (as others have said)

    1. Get a French Coach in as most of the team are French or from a French speaking country for better communication and new ideas.

    2. start scouting new countries to find the talent for the youth and first team set ups.

    3. sell wilo, obertan and gosling and try and improve the subs bench so we are not just a strong first 11 team.

    4. start playing santon on the wing and Haidara at LB pre season to see how it goes.

    5. a set piece coach we are useless at attacking and defending them so would add some extra dimension to our game.

Tom (Badger) is a very good judge, goes to all the games and spends most of his coin on football (what's left after his beer money anyway) but I didn't know he hated Pards. A lot of us are a bit fed up with his team selection and tactics but who would we get in if it wasn't somebody that had just been sacked by another club because he wasn't good enough for them? I can't see MA being prepared to pay for the great to come and join us.

I've always said I'd rather give seats away for free than see empty ones and I think giving them to the forces is a great idea. We've done it before and I don't see why we can't do it on a regular basis.

Yeah, says it on twitter all the time - cant stand him!

I 100% agree with forces, but why stop there - NHS staff, fire crews, charity workers and volunteers - give back to the community if and when we can as a club!

Good guy when you get to know him.

Agree about the NHS staff, fire crews, charity workers and volunteers, people who do a great job at low wages and deserve a treat or two.

    1) Sign Christian Gourcuff and dump Pardew... I don't resent Pardew now he's playing some better stuff, there was no excuse for the hoofball nonsense, but Gourcuff is sexy and French and insists on good football (as much as he grows out that weird goatee thing, nobodies buying into "Alain Pardeaux"... sorry Pards). If we want a youth system coming through with a good format, he is a (not going to say THE because I'm sure there are several Scandinavian options) man (or woman).

    2) Sign Seb Rajalakso. We signed the "pretty pretty" things from France for the Geordie women, how about a raw Swedish stud-muffin for us male types? Alternatively, another left winger with pace and a good cross would be ok.

    3) Upgrade youth system.

    4) Clone Graham Carr. It's not as expensive as hiring and firing a billion scouts to find the next oracle.

    5) Take Obertan to Oz. The lad needs a brain <ok>
