3 points but not only that, fact we came back from 2-1 down to win. Also our first win against a top 6 team this year, plus the first time we've won at home after conceding at home in the Premiership and lifts us above Everton (albeit they do have a game in hand). Overall, excellent weekend, especially with Everton going out of the FA Cup
Yes get in going to send a few text on mobile to my blue nose family members Dembele going right up to Suarez there why he is doing that don't know
Less possession and for a while after nipples took a pretend blow to the face and we conceeded no 2 we looked bad... but overall it was close with us being smarter with our limited posession. Both goals were soft training ground goals though... must improve. We didnt try to play tikka takka Masala and we won. It was the brilliance of Downing that inspired our win... all hail king Stewie!
Spurs' two goals from Bale going down softly and knocking a free kick. Definitely a one man team, can't get a goal any other way
Once Spurs went 2-1 up they looked comfortable. Liverpool offered nothing after Vert's 2nd goal until a ridiculous mistake from Walker gifted Downing a 2nd. From then, 'Pool had momentum and another stupid mistake gave them a deserved penalty that Gerrard scored. 'Pool didn't deserve to win that game; a draw would have been a fair result. Had the game ended 1-0 with Suarez's goal, then I'd hold my hands up and say "well done, we got beaten by a very good team goal" but to lose like this is just sickening. Two trips to Merseyside this season have ended with really, really bitter defeats.
pulled that one out of the fire! fair play to the lads they never gave up. and Allan played well when he got on
Bale produced a few really tasty crosses in that game- but he is such a pussy that its impossible to like him if you arent a spurs fan. he is deffo their ronaldo/suarez.
Talking about Liverpool goals were lucky and were Spurs mistakes but could easily say the same about Spurs goals. They were both from crosses where the defenders just made a mistakes. It's hardly like spurs cut us open all throughout the game and we scored from our only 3 attacks. Overall, we had a similar amount of chances and we took ours better than spurs. Even at 2-1 down, everyone saying Spurs were pushing for a 3rd but did they have any real chances to score? None that I can remember.
We came from behind against a very solid, in form Spurs side. How we scored our goals isn't important, we were clinical and took our chances. We weren't at our best, but we've been immense against both Man Utd and Man City at home and didn't get what we deserved, this is a welcomed change. Spurs were very unlucky, but hey as we all know - That's football. 3 back-to-back PL wins, one against a top team. We're going in the right direction.
Spurs were unbeaten in 12 and only had 1 defeat in last 16 in the Premiership so definitely the form team in the league which maes the result even better. Thought we handled Bale very well as well, I know he got the 2 assists but they were from simple crosses rather than moments of brilliance. Only 1 moment when he got past our defence but that was about it really. AVB just confirmed penalty was correct decision, fair play to him, thought he could easily go on and say wasn't a pen and Suarez was "clever" etc so fair play to him.
Gotta agree we deserved the win. but spurs definitely showed us where our weaknesses are. roll on the next game! Boys done good.... mostly!
