He is just enhancing his reputation as the biggest idiot and embarrassment ever to be in charge of a football club. I have a certain feeling that he is looking for another excuse for when Rangers run out of money and then he can bleat "not my fault"

This is where not having had a strop and pulled out of UEFA/FIFA really pays off. Even if it were against European law to prevent them competing in foreign leagues, that's not what is happening. They're just being told that the qualifying competitions for the Champions League and Europa League are conducted on a regional basis and that as they are based in Scotland it's the Scottish regional league that they have to go through.

They would have been ineligible to apply for election if the normal rules were applied. As a newco they don't have the required accounts from previous seasons.

Which is tosh from them to be honest, if they win the league this season then what ever happens with the leagues they'll be 2 promotions away from the SPL.

A friend of mine is a Rangers season ticket holder and I hate to think what he thinks about this Yorkshire baffoon Charles Green in charge of his beloved football club.. every so often the game throws up top class idiots and this guy must have invented the name.

This is a load of bollocks, the English are hated with a passion north of the border, Charlie Green included. It will never happen, as the suicide rate in Scotland would go up dramatically if Rangers were beaten week in week out by English teams. NHS north of the border couldn't cope with it.

exactly , the reshuffle wont affect how long it could take Rangers to get into the SPL .
Other than that i couldnt give a stuff about Scottish football , its piss poor with constant tweaking , similar to our Rugby.
It tells me its not worth spending any time worrying about

The game is in a right mess up there and something will have to change dramatically for Rangers and Celtic to be able to compete in European competitions.

A move to England is unlikley IMHO to be sanctioned if only because of the mayhem their supporters will bring to the game down south.

"I've had enough indications that Scottish football don't like us and don't want Rangers.."
Neither do we, so stay in your own ****ing country.
Scots spend half their time slagging England and the English off so let Rangers and Celtic stay there and rot.

I'm not Rangers' biggest fan, but can we stop the ****e about them being a new club. It's still exactly the same club as it was a year ago.

How are they not a new club? The old one died through financial liquidation. They're gone. A new one was formed and claimed some assets of the old one through some sort of purchase agreement, (I'm no accountant or businessman btw, can you tell? <whistle>). For some inexplicable reason they're claiming all the history of the old Glasgow Rangers back to the 19th century, but sorry I don't buy it.

Let's look at a couple of other examples. Aldershot went bust in 1992 and a new club was formed, Aldershot Town that is now in the league, but had to rise through the non-league pyramid to get there, (and congrats to them).
Bradford Park Avenue are another example from the 60s/70s. Newport County went bust in the late 80s. Chester City fairly recently. These are all clubs that capitulated financially and have had to be reborn in the non-league under varying names. So why the **** have Rangers been treated differently and assumed to be the same club?

Yeah but it's not strictly different is it? I mean, Wimbledon going to Milton Keynes, that's an example of a club liquidating and becoming something else. Rangers are still called Rangers, they still wear the same kit and still have the same manager. They've managed to keep all the titles and trophies they won in the SPL so to all intents and purposes, it's the same club. The players are just a bit ****ter and the league they are in is nothing short of embarrassing, but they are nevertheless still very recognisably Rangers.

On paper it's a different limited company, but in terms of supporting the team, I don't think any of the fans would really call it a different club to the one they supported last season.

as a jock city supporter, its not green that's the problem, as he is a twat and his claim has no substance. its the fans of Celtic and Rangers you have to worry about, all they would bring to the game is racism and bigotry. Any fans that send bullets to each other have no place in football never mind any league. Also not all scots want independence, together as the uk we are strong divided we are weak.

Discussions on this topic may prove irrelevant if the Scots vote for independence next year.
