It was a good goal but just not in the same class as Sinclair. Sinclair's was world class. It was probably goal of the month material as opposed to Sinclair's which was goal of the year material. What about Jenas's goal? That wasn't bad either, not quite as good as Townsend's but good all the same.
Fantastic goals from these two lads and Remy's was harder than it looked IMO. Great day out and so pleasing to get a fully deserved win rather than a lucky scrappy one. The Sunderland fans are not complaining about our win on their board though they have plenty to say about their own setup!
Anyone remember the game where his cousin Andy Snr chopped Gallen in two, received a yellow then 30 seconds later chopped him in two again and was sent off? "Townsend what's the score" was the chant from the Loft when he was walking off. We were 5-0 up (v Boro). Ah, them were the days! Anyway, this lad looks a really good player. Good quality on the ball but what I like most about him is his enthusiasm. They have a good academy there at the Spuds. They brought Walker through too and plenty of others recently. If we could get a set up similar to that going, it would be fantastic.
