My favourite would be fifa 04 I think or it might be 05 can't remember. I always seem to hum along to the CoD music in menus and in lobbies, obviously not great music but it is catchy!

Ah yes, FIFA 2000. Also had this, which was an absolute tune.

The title song by Robbie Williams was pretty good too.

Best game soundtrack? Now there's an unanswerable question if there ever was one, but I shall mention a few games with great soundtracks.

C&C Tiberium Dawn (i.e. the first C&C game) including such epic tunes as:

    ACT ON INSTINCT

The slightly Michael Jackson sounding C&C Thang

    The slightly bizarre Mechanical Man

    The powerful March to Doom

And of course, No Mercy. NO!!! NO!!! NOO!!! NO MERCY!

Great shout, that was a serious hit of nostalgia. Hell March from Red Alert still gets me psyched every time I hear it.

Okay, time to continue my quest to reveal the best game soundtracks....

One game here not many people here (if any) would have heard of is a game called Lords of Magic (Special Edition). Essentially it was a fantasy-TBS from sometime in the late 90s. I played the demo and the music alone made me want to get the game. Essentially, you play as one of several different faiths: Order, Chaos, Life, Death, Earth, Air, Water, Fire and each of the faiths had their own songs which were good and incredible atmospheric. For example, the Water Theme.

I like the fact that it almost sounds like it's under water, hearing the flows of currents and so on and a call that sounds like that of a whale.

The Life theme is also good and seems to make me think of an ancient world of some kind.

And the Air theme, which really evokes images of cold, wind-beaten mountains and so on.

The order theme evokes medieval themes but with a certain kind of Roman or Greek kind of themes throughout, as in a well-developed, advanced imperial culture.

    Great game. Great game.
