Talking of women, I dropped my new girlfriend at home the other night after our first date. As she got out of the car, she told me that she wouldn't suck my penis for 6 months. I told her that was fine and I respected her view and that I'd call her nearer the time <laugh>

Disagree that there will be women players in the mens game, the physical advantage is huge already, and you have to consider that the womens game is quite different to the mens so theyd have to adjust to it as well (and be disadvantaged as a result of the different style). A woman manager is definitely more realistic but I agree on the points made about authority, as well as the media attention which could act as a deterrent (or the opposite for someone who just wants some media attention). Also almost all managers were professional players at some point which undoubtedly gave them a better understanding of the mens game. A woman manager would not have the same advantage as womens football is noticeably different so instincts would be different.

  4. I think people are looking my comment of female players in the men's league from the wrong angle. I agree that generally males are stronger, quicker, etc but that does not apply to ALL players! People are thinking of Premier League teams / players and, quite simply, that is fairly unlikely. However, you can't tell me that some of the female players aren't better than some of the males in the Championship, League One and League Two!

If your good enough and all that eh...

It's bad of me, I know- but I've not been following the Croatian 4th Division as much as I ought to lately.

I think some female players could perhaps cut it in men's league... especially in lower leagues.

Yes they have an inbuilt physical disadvantage... but that isn't as much for all men and women... skill wise they have same potential.

Dressing rooms... showers...etc...in stadium could be interesting...

A cou;le of time Played against women in adult indoor league... always felt hesitant in clobbering them the way I would a guy... they had no such reservations...

    Bitch fights rule <diva>

I think I should get my wench to be a manager and shout at other men...fed up of her shouting at me. Plus she'd never moan at me for going the match because she'd be there...and she'd win more than Gollum has over the park <laugh>

To dismiss the women playing in men's leagues nonsense, its physically impossible. Even at a lower level.

Who is the strongest female athlete you know? Probably one of the Williams sisters in tennis, am I right? Back at their prime, when they were ranked highly around 03, they angrily stormed into the Wimbledon office. They demanded to play a male competitor as they felt they had unfair treatment as women at the tournament.

Overhearing this conversation, a player (can't remember his name) ranked around 250th, already eliminated, stepped over and accepted the challenge.

First he played one, beating her 6-1, 6-0. For those of you unaware of tennis terminology, this is like a 6-0 victory in football.

He stepped outside for a smoke (yes, a smoke - he was at the end of his career and didn't care anymore). After finishing a cigarette the other sister ran up with her outfit. 6-3, 6-0 he beat her. After the match he commented that he had played like a player ranked 600th.

And these are women who are absolute beasts of athletes.

Aside from everything else, how many blokes do you know who'd slide tackle or go full on shoulder to shoulder challenging a female? Very few. If you injure a female, you'd be hounded on all the media platforms and yet, if you didn't go in to tackle them as you would another man, you'd be hounded for treating them differently or not playing as hard. Never mind the reaction from your fans/team mates/manager about going soft.

It'll never happen, except maybe a one off PR stunt like that american football kicker...who lasted about 3 kicks before getting injured in trials.

Manager/coach wise. It could happen. But lets be realistic here; how many girls do you know who are a, just as interested in football as a guy? Then, they need to far more knowledgeable than you (otherwise you could just as likely be a manager/coach) - know any? Then, they need to be qualified...I know maybe 2 people, both guys, in total who are. All this, whilst making an income from elsewhere since it's really time consuming and unless you've been a well paid professional, you have to sacrifice alot to get on the ladder and have part time work until you're able to move up to a career in football.

It's just...really unrealistic. And tbh, the first female manager/coach will be a PR stunt dressed up as a propper appointment. And god help her if she loses her first game!

Instead of African Cup of Nations taking players for a couple of months... they would have to take a personal choice not to have kids during the healthiest window for them to... or... managers could expect to lose the ladies for 6 months every three or four years.

Can't train at pro footie level when 4 months preggers.

Not saying women should be excluded because of this... just you know managers are going to be thinking about it.

How does effect women's game today? Or are they all lesbians that have steamy orgies after each game?

  15. Not having the 'wouldn't tackle them in the same way' argument, they would be paid professionals and as such, equals too!

All joking aside, you asked the question, here's at least one. Now maybe someone will tell me her qualifications are of low level I don't know: but I follow her on twitter.

She's incredibly enthusiastic about coaching, and appears very determined to develop. From what I've read she's coaching kids at the minute, will her objectives change? Ask her.

But it shows they are out there.

for women to generally compete with men at physical sports biological evolution needs to occur, as in we become spiders<laugh> and they eat us when we're done with our business rather than before:)

I'm afraid that is the case. It's genetic. We are predisposed to protecting females not slaughtering them.

There are exceptions to the rule, like that big blonde chic in Game of Thrones, she'd cripple Huth<laugh> At the very least testosterone injections from an early age may even things up but not entirely, our species would need to evolve in order for it to be a level playing field physically and mentally, mentally as in we "males" deem them equal physically and therefor hold nothing back.

Then there's the socially developed moral imperative too

Honestly though... I'd be surprised if, at least at lower level we don't see women compete in next 20 years... actually I think they do in misl.

There are a lot of barriers though so it will always be rare.

Coaching... they will always be a minority since many come from playing in teams... but no real road block to that... probably eventually see a handful.
