Thornton Heath is probably the closest. Norwood Junction is an absolute ****hole. Also remember that Crystal Palace station (via train or East London Line) is itself nowhere near the ground.
am off thornton heath and walking down...sitting in palace end with 2 palace supporting mates..should be ineteresting as last time we beat palace my mate got the right hump!
Norwood Jn is indeed a sh%thole, but its one stop from E. Croydon with a suitable pub less than 200 yds away. So not all bad.
Norwood Junction is your best bet as southern & overground both go through it Crystal Palace station despite the name is nowhere near ****hurst park
