o/t best indian takeaways in sunderland

just had one from sanagrow on villette road, bloody lovely, highly recommend it and the delivery time was astonishing, under 20 mins.

spice island after that, spice 1 isnt bad and grangetown tandoori is ok

 

Scrogg Road Tandoori in Walkergate, tenner for chicken curry, rice, home-made chips and a peshwari nan, delicious. Could eat it now

Bengal Dream (next to where dirty book centre was) is a restaurant but does take aways & Bengal Spice at the Wavendon are pretty bloody good.

I second this... Sangrow is currently top of the class. Used to use Grangetown Tandoori but felt it had got a bit too oily last couple of time I tried it.

 

have to agree since it changed hands it has gone downhill, still quality containers

 

Dont know any in Sunderland.

Tandoori Garden in Shiney Row is the business though. 6.95 for Starter, Curry, Rice, Side dish and Poppadum on a thursday night. And the food is fooking gorgeous

 

I love my Indian food, and believe that different Indians specialise in different meals. The Sanagrow is an excellent takeaway, annd they do the best Lanka Piaza that I have tasted, which also happens to be my favourite dish..
