Sorry Tobes but as far as I am concerned, I reserve that descriptor solely for Bluenoses. Feel free to search through my archive and you won't find me calling a Manc BITTER - I have called them many other things though
Only to people that don't know the difference. The words describe two different emotions-if you conflate them you remove the ability to differentiate between an attachment to what you possess (us) and a longing for the possessions of others (you).
Of course time is relevant, when you're talking about being 'on a par' in the present tense. The only thing that you can claim to be 'on a par' with United on, is your history. In the present you're as relevant to them as Stoke.
i.e. those under 60, as they've become synonymous in modern parlance. Aside from the semantics do you actually have a point btw?
About as much as you in this thread, yes. Your refusal to accept a truth fortunately doesn't stop it from being true. But you carry on, old son, and I'll do my best to work out what you mean, as opposed to what you say.
"on a par" I'm afraid, yourselves and other Everton fans are the only ones who see yourselves as on a par with us. You have a go at us for "celebrating a United loss," when your season will be made if you can manage to finish above us. **** the season will be made, it might well be the best result you get in a decade. Oh, our "rivalry" with United is not relevant huh? I'm sure thats why the 10 or so United posters camp on our board, or why articles like this are made. As for basing things of history, of course we are. We're not clinging to today are we? There's no football going on today. I tell you what, we'll cling to last year - which was the last time we won a trophy. How's living in 1995 treating you?
You see that's yet more delusion, as we currently are 'on a par' as clubs, as in the present, you know that thing called current reality? Best result in a decade? Nah, it'd be the best result since last season, when we also finished above you.
Thank you kind sir. Sorry for the 'pops' that was patronising in the extreme, no need, as I respect your views tbh.
You condescending ****, nobody but everton fans see you on a par with us in any respect. Fan base, commercial interest, what are you on a par with us for? If you want to go into really current reality, then you're not even close to our current form. Awwww, so your best result is finishing above us, cute .
If you ever get to visit Liverpool then you'll find this is not how most would see it. Commercial interest? do me a favour, you haven't got a clue what football rivalry is all about. Oh & I was referring to the League table, that's how people generally view the 'present' in terms of football
Well, if ever we can get get past Tobes' bitterness diversion thereof, this thread was applauding that FINALLY someone has stood up to United and their unceasing arrogance, and that whilst the FA, BBC and daily Mail don't like it, I stongly suspect that everyone outside United's fanbase, County Rd and Denbigh does. And yes, bloody yes, I am bitter at the cossetting, special treatment and sheer unvarnished bias that they get from the English media and the FA. Rafa was atit who blew his one chance of winning the Prem, but what some people foregetis that he was actually 100% RIGHT in what he said in his rant about Ferguson, albeit he shouldn't have said it (or thought he had to say it).
Yeah, a win. I have one, my debating skills won me it. The great thing about being a mod is I always have the last word.
Deleting posts in order to have the last word, pathetic & a total abuse of your mod status, but given your recent behaviour in that regard hardly a great surprise.
