Then when you did (rightly) go down to 10 you still couldn't handle them - it's arguably easier to defend with a man down as you know what you have to do. Fact is you were way too deep and both goals were not to do with the extra man or tiredness. Just the better team won. Comfortably.

Oh and it would seem Uefa agree with me regarding your players and manager.

To be fair they did play with 10 men for the last 10 minutes or so against Zenit, because Suarez was too busy shadowing the ref trying to get people booked as usual.

To be honest, I don't get that, perhaps because I always take more pride in my club's successes than another team's failures. Going out to Real is no disgrace, particularly under the circumstances, and I don't know any United fans who are actually that disappointed and certainly none that are ashamed. If us losing to one of the giants of European football really does give you that much pleasure then it suggests that supporting your own club now gives you almost none but I guess losing at home to Villa in the league and away to Oldham in the FA Cup can't be much fun! Come the end of the season we will be celebrating another league title whilst you'll still be celebrating United getting knocked out of the CL by Real. Perspective.

The irony of Liverpool fans attempting to take the moral high ground, about how we behave in Europe. You guys really are something else. Your club is and has been a disgrace to English football for so many years. It's a relief that you will only be plying your trade in the Europa League at the very least next season, so you can't drag English football into the gutter once again on the very top stage
