I think there's something about wanting your domestic league to produce the strongest teams in Europe. If it can't be the Rs, then it is perhaps a consolation that a team from the same league can regularly beat teams from foreign leagues. If the Rs stay up, then it is perhaps satisfying to think the Rs can live in the same division as a team that conquers Europe. It helps, of course, if the English team contains a few English players too.

That's true, which Utd always have had over the years (or at least British).

In real time at full speed it's a red card all day long in European football everyone needs to accept that it's the champions league you were watching and this grubby island does not control the game anymore.

It's a typical case of English hype and attitude and I guarantee you when that happened at full speed remember Europe cried for a sending off and the illusion you maybe follow a British team and argue an incident between players from Portgual and Spain is strange and to me shows the level of brain washing present

Fergie's reaction when he saw that red is one of the funniest things I've seen in ages, not got these foreign refs in his pocket.

Well said and 100% true in my opinion
The Man United model has a complete monopoly in this league I believe.

Look how the BBC suck up to them

Colin I don't hate my country I am proud to be aware of what is going on

SAF revealed his true colours last night IMO as Northolt says no influence was there in a way he gets my respect for what he has done but its clear he is now a bully

Still don't get the criticism of Ferguson when the things people don't like are more to do with the weakness of others. Just typical British attitude to success I suppose. I would love to have a bully like him creating a dynasty at QPR......

He's not responsible for they way the media respond to Utd. Of course he puts pressure on officials, he's just better at it than say, Warnock's approach of screaming and swearing like a demented old witch. If refs and the PL are scared of Utd their weak characters rather than Fergie's ambition to keep this Frankenstein's monster going are to blame. He has created a leviathan at Utd that the rest of English football revolves around - a brilliant job from their perspective, a pathetic response from the rest of us, and I agree, a tragedy for competitiveness in the premiership. But Bayern are very similar in Germany, which in all other respects is a much better run system.

At least its all pretty transparent, unlike the corruption recently in Italy and latterly in France.

SAF of course possibly the best manager in the recent history of the game but ... The issue for me is clear and regardless of a decision on the field he should of reacted by bringing off Wellbeck and putting on a direct replacement for Nani ... cost them the game IMO

That should have been a yellow card for the Real player - he was face on to the ball and saw Nani trying to take it with his boot - he just charged into him knowing there was a good chance the Ref would see that one wrong. Clever but cynical play.

Yeah, I know where you're coming from, but I have a deep hatred for ManYoo & Fergie, & can't wish them well in anything. And it pisses me off that we haven't really been able to lay a glove on them in the 4 games.

I said the same thing. After the red card instead of lambasting the officials he should have immediately made a triple substitution and brought on Evans, Rooney and Valencia for Welbeck, Cleverley and Giggs

I just dont understand why some of you think, that Real Madrid, Barcelona or even Bayern Munich are more sympatethic clubs than ManU. I understand that somebody hates ManU but c'mon they all are money grabbing and ref cheating clubs in a big way.......

Well, if you are saying that the FA is corrupt and engineering to keep Utd at the top, take your evidence to the police and they will investigate.........like in France and Italy.

The evidence is seen with my eyes and your reply is really daft. All you have to do is see the number of decision that go for them and how Howard Webb is selected for most of their big matches and he always gives then everything.
