No different from his earlier performances. Chasing the ball in the middle third without actually touching it that often provides little value from a link up player.

I've been watching Park play for years. Here's the thing. He is not a finesse player. Contrary to a player like Taarabt who plays to impress, often failing but at times catching on and then earning praise, Park is all about moving the ball and keeping things simple.

He will constantly move and his effectiveness comes from creating space, and playing into space. If there is no space to exploit, he will make the short safe pass.

That's the reason why people claim he plays like a headless chicken. After all the running, the result could be a short simple pass.

But in order for his sort of game to be effective, he has to play a dynamic team that also moves. Park will make runs into space, but often his teammates fail to notice.

He is a right sided player who plays in quite a bit. When he is the right wing he will occupy the right wing space and come into support the central players as well as the back players. The reason he appears to be more effective as a wide player is because he has more space to exploit out wide when there is not another player there. In other words, park tucks in centrally to draw out the wide defender to create more space for him and his overlapping wing backs.

Hater? Bit strong dont you think?

I give my opinion on his performance and as its negative im automatically a hater? I havent singled him out - both mbia and granero were also poor, and i complimented park on his assist for the goal and his performance aftef our 2nd goal.

Nope, not strong, and yup, you're a hater.

Just try to look at it more objectively. I would advise that you watch the match again, particularly paying attention to Park. And then objectively looking at the team as a whole against his performance. Cheers

you really should know better than to have your own opinion.....especially when it goes against the grain and majority of posters.

just put your hands up, say sorry & admit that you were wrong...<laugh>

we dont want any of that argueing or debating diffrent views going on now, do we ?

Dont think you are in a position to tell me whether i hate someone or not. Just becuase my opinion differs from yours its becuase i hate him?

Im sure he is a very nice guy, and is a good player. But on this occasion (and the majority of the season) he hasnt performed.

If i hated him i would single him out, but im not. Granero and mbia were the same. And in fact i gave park a 6.5.

I have watched the match live, watched it againon sky sports in full when i got home and saw MOTD. Nothing changed that opinion.

You are completely entitled to that opinion mate and you may be right. I just maintain that it's amazing how a set of fans watching the same game can come away with such different observations. I think Park had his best game for us so far and was probably my MOTM over the full 90 mins, whereas you have just said that he was the same as Mbia and Granero, which I again find amazing, as I had Granero as the worst player on the pitch by a long way. But, it is all about opinions and you may be right and I may be wrong.

Exactly mate, im the same, i cant see how people think he played well, but respect opinions. I resent being called a hater (not by you) because my opinion differs.

In actual fact is probably was his best game for us (and the highest score i have given him). But thats not saying much tbh as his previous performances have been awful. So it may well have been his best game for us but imo it still wasnt a good performance from him

Anyway, i think we will disagree! :) lets hope if he plays this weekend he has a great game, and i will be the first to say well done for it.

One of the most unlikeliest yet funniest of statements I've ever read on here.

So, Judo, you're not going to give Park any credit for the amazing run he made down the right and the gutsy move forward past the defender to put in a perfectly placed cross for Betty to score? There was not another player on the entire team who got that sort of move down the entire match. We only had 3 shots on goal, and one of them was from that cross. Especially seeing that we have had a tremendously difficult time creating chances to score AT ALL!
With so many professional pundits also giving Park his due for a career performance for a struggling team like us, for you to maintain your idiotic stance of not wanting to accept the FACT that Park had his best game for us - you're a typical hater that we don't need! How do you think Park feels that one of his supporters is giving him the stick and comparing him to Granero, who EVERYBODY agrees, had the absolute worst performance of any player on the field that match?! That was an amazing, professional performance of a man who doesn't give up.

You're a ****ing joke, Judo. Really. A ****ing WUM. You can't even give one of our players MOTM credit for basically, single-handedly leading the team to victory for giving it 110% the entire match.

Why don't you **** off for a few weeks, we don't need your voice in the stands or anywhere else if you can't even support the best performance thus far this year for the team that sticks out this much for being that brilliant.

    <doh>

That must be about the worst post I have ever read on here, and NOT because (like Judo) I totally disagree with you about Park, other than his one good effective tackle, run and cross!

I and many others I think, always look forward to Judo and Col's match reports on here - it is always good to hear how they see the game, and of course everyone sees them differently, it would be boring if we all saw them the same! It is not Wumming, it's opinions mate!
