Chelsea v Barca 2009: "Chelsea players in disgraceful scenes with officials" Man Utd v Madrid 2013: "United players quite right to be angry" Strange how the media were indignant when Drogba swore into the TV camera having conceded a last minute goal with countless penalty appeals waved around but yet when Rio swears and sarcastically applaud a ref after a controversial red in a Last 16 game, that's justified... British Journalism everyone
Rio has to get a ban... Typical of him to do it as well... It's a joke that the media are comparing these two incidents!
Unless they let him off cause he's ****ing garbage anyway and they'll be worse off with him in the team.
Even the Welsh brother's wife shagger was at it abusing the referee and pointing with a twisted face in some vile vitriol.
The English media is a bad joke - not going to say Rio was a twat though, I would have been the same, even though I think United are angry at a correct, albeit unlucky decision rather than a string of blatant fouls like we had.
lets be honest what Ballack and Drogba did was far worse then what Rio did, he did shake the hands of the officials aswell and then walked away, you always see these kind of things happen in PL games anyway.
Let's be honest. Chelsea were right to be a damned slight more indignant at unjust refereeing, than united. We woz blatantly robbed - you weren't. End of. Let's be honest, what Fergie did was far worse than Hiddink. Gareth southgate trying to arse lick fergie afterwards by trying to say it was anything other than a fully justified red was a total joke. Embarrassing media bias LIVE on air. Cringeworthy.
DL - Totally agree. I was thinking exactly the same thing......"oh, it's so unfair on Man United"...."I can see why Sir Alex is so upset"..... "totally changed the game"......."poor refereeing decision"...etc.etc.etc. When we played our game against Barca, everyone was after the whole Chelsea squad and coaching team to be locked up for 20 years. Because it's Man U and Fergie, everyone is scared ****less to say the truth......by the rule book, it was a sending off. The only person who has had the balls to say so, was Roy Keane and, let's face it, he should know. It will be really interesting to see if the are any more fines for Red Nose (just how many times is he allowed to do this) and if Rio and Co end up with any suspensions.
....meant to add.... didn't see Fergie complaining about their incorrectly disallowed goal, or the handball on the line which should have seen Rafael sent off....funny that. The media don't seem to bring that up either.
