Yeah,sad day indeed. One of the first things he did was take back huge tracts of land from big corporations and gave it back to the poor for food production. No wonder the U.S. establishment hated him.
Like a lot of radicals, Chavez started out with some great ideas but ended up doing the very things that he accused his opponents of doing. Whilst he did a lot for health and education for the poor there was a dark side to his regime.

A true socialist! lol, the only one I know worth $1billion. In reality he was no saint, just slightly better than what they are used to over there, in Venezuela they still have a very low quality of life. I hope that they will use his death to take another step forward.
