I’m listening to the opposition commentary on the Ipswich iPlayer as I often do as the Radio Suffolk one keeps cutting out and the sound quality is horribly tinny. The Forest commentators couldn’t believe how idiotic Martin was and described it at half time as “a moment of crass stupidity”.

Apart from decent (but brief) spell when PJ played him behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1 and the joy of paying him a huge wage for four whole years, what has this clown brought to the club?
 
McCarthy won't be happy, I don't think this is the first time a manager will have blown his top at him!!!

I'd now put Murphy wide left and bring Nouble on up top as I don't think Chopra's game is really suited to what our performance will need now!!

Lee Martin is going the wrong way about getting a new contract.

I was thinking about other players on an equivalent wage. I doubt he will be playing for us next season.

This is the 7th consecutive half time clean sheet away from Home. The club record is 9.. I couldn't give a toss really unless it's still a clean sheet after the final whistle..

Also, with Martin's impending suspension it really opens the door for someone else to stake a claim to a starting place.

I've no idea of the system we are now operating, although I'd probably guess at a back 5 with 3 in midfield. Hewitt and Brown have been given a run out and I suppose have the chance to impress to take the right back spot in Stearman's absence
 
Someone else will get a chance for three games now. Maybe somebody elses performances will show us whether we miss Martin or not. If whoever replaces him plays better that could be the end for Lee.
Would be super happy with a point now.

A draw would feel like a win but I don't want to get my hopes up.

We're stuffed tbh. But as mentioned, we can hopefully take some positives with blooding some new faces. Although it's not really the game to judge them, what a dayboo poor buggers.
