...Just a new site to talk with fans of all clubs instead of just subjecting myself to the blinkered vision and opinions of forums like RAWK. Anyway, I think we've finally realised why the masses never flocked to Not606 as expected, and it's because they were all just waiting for an EXACT replica of 606. Just popped over there now and they're all wetting themselves over a new site that looks identical to the old 606. But who cares? Seriously? I never liked the layout of 606, I hated the message-board system and the lack of avatars etc. Quite frankly it just made wumming easier and reading a million articles about the same news story (each one written as if it was just breaking the news to us) got so tiresome. All I wanted was a decent wum-free forum that wasn't as basic or childish as 606. So, what I'm basically trying to say is that if anyone wants to know where most people will be going after 606, it's ja606, or for those of you that really miss the old 606. Personally I will be sticking to Not606 entirely when 606 bites the dust though.
I'm sticking with Not606 too! I liked 606 for a while, but this last season and a bit has been absolutely terrible for WUMs, put me right off 606 and anything that tries to recreate it.
The numbers are increasing, I chose here because well, it said Not606, does what it says on the tin. 606, noone reads the posts on that anyway, they all just skip to the last post and reply, look for wum material, complete waste of time to someone like me tbh besides, good bunch on here for the most part and there is more football relevant discussion going on here per post than 606 ever had. Imagine trying to follow an entire thread, having to wade through the complete sheite 5 6 7 8 pages of it and more.
I hope Not 606 doesn't become too popular because my work will get wind of it and I will get ACCESS DENIED.
I'm sticking with this one! I never joined 606 but I did read it every so often. Once the BBC said they were closing down, I waited for the first 606 replacement site to be recommended and then I joined it. Apart from the odd WUM, this forum is the best one.
This is better because there is no 3 minute rule and you don't get put into pre-mod for picking fights with Man United fans like what I got banned for.
Will be staying with this one thank you very much. 606 ended up being full of knobheads. Probably the way that new one will go if they all follow like sheep and go there. Good luck to them, but if it keeps the WUMs off this board then I'm happy. Oh yeah, the format of this one is also much better IMO.
We have enough people contributing here already anyway, so sod them if they want to go there. Too many people generally means too many WUMs and too many unrelated/weak posts. I'd rather have a strong hub of 20 or so people contributing regularly than 200 will nilly.
No more threads about Sky Four teams tagged with every Premiership team in the description = win for fans of clubs like mine. Not606 has thus far been much better than 606. Long may it continue!
Not606 is way better, simply because of the wumming for me. I actually had a conversation for a good 30 minutes with a norwich fan about how US Soccer works! No chance that happens on ja606...
