Two great games tonight with Real at United and Shakhtar at Dortmund. Tomorrow Celtic travel to Juventus. Both of tonight's matches start all square.

Will Ronaldo come back to Old Trafford to wreck United hopes?

Real have to attack so it should be a really open game. I'm going for a 2-1 Madrid win!

2.1 United. Celtic to lose 2.0....have done well, but think that will come to an end.

3-3 at OT tonight. Ronaldo will score twice and set up the other.

United will win tonight. Real aren't all that.

Dortmund to narrowly beat Shakhtar, possibly on away goals.

    Celtic are boned.

Nor are United. Their midfield is not that good and Vidic isn't fully fit.
Lopez, Ramos, Pepe, Varane, Contraeo, Alonso, Khedira, Ozil, Di Maria, Ronaldo, Benzema OR

De Gea, Rafael, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Kagawa, Rooney, RVP.

Lopez = De Gea, Ramos > Rafael, Pepe < Vidic, Varane = Ferdinand, Evra = Contraeo, Alonso >> Carrick, Khedira > Cleverley, Ozil > Valencia, Di Maria > Kagawa, Ronaldo > Rooney, RVP > Benzema.

I think Alonso and Khedira will completely outrun United's midfield and Ronaldo will tear Rafael to shreds. I can't United progressing tonight, I really can't.

I don't think some of those players are quite as good as you're suggesting. There's no way Varane is as good as Ferdinand yet, and Evra is better than Coentrao. I also don't really rate Khedira or Di Maria that highly. Don't underestimate Kagawa or Valencia either, they make things happen.

Not nearly as much as Ronaldo and Ozil.

Well early (unconfirmed) team news is that Kagawa and Rooney are out for Nani and Giggs. <laugh>

has now been confirmed. Rooney and Kagawa are out, Giggs and Nani in. That's ludicrous from Ferguson.

That's, uh, wow. He's too good of a manager for little ol' me to criticize, but I'm really not sure what he is going for there. Not like they can expect to lump their way to a 0-0 match and advance on away goals.

That's mental. Rooney is a fantastic footballer but more importantly works his arse off. Ferguson must have identified a weakness that a player like Nani can exploit.

You never know what's going on in Fergie's head, but we should all know it would be stupid to criticize his team selections.

Definitely. I'm just struggling to figure out the angle here. Looks like a 4-4-2, and my only guess is that he doesn't expect there to be much room through the center of the park, and wants a couple conventional wingers to provide supply for Welbeck/RVP up top.

Man Utd 1-2 Real Madrid I reckon, can see Ronaldo scoring at least one as well.

Billy Sharp left out by Billy Davies again. Not even on the bench, and Forest have no striker on the bench.

He's not injured, or suspended. Lots of Forest fans think Billy is done with them and will be coming back to Saints this summer.

Billy Davies is an idiot if he's not using Sharp.
