I posted this article to try get some of your opinions on how social media are used by football fans e.g. for a laugh, serious topics or just getting up to date with the community. Also I'd like to hear how social media effects football fans such as; how do they behave differently or do they feel more comfortable in the football environment?
I use it to stalk my victims before I slaughter them under the innocent guise of a nincompoop living over seas. Anyone know where Zingy lives? More seriously... I find it best way to keep up to date and stay involved. Media isn't as saturated in footie in the us as back home. Find this the best way to keep finger on the pulse of real peoples views on the club and get a little entertainment and light socializing.
I use it as a site for grooming unsuspecting Liverpool fans. Reel them in with my wit and charm then BAAAAM, out comes the sandpaper
Not any more. I'm shocked. Sorry, just read the bit about wit and charm and realised it was all a joke.
Foredeck will love this, what are they teaching kids these days. Assuming the question is serious, and you honestly need some input, I use it to exchange opinions with rival fans, banter and finding out juicy info from RHC. I don't tend to have a go at anyone or wind people up, and I don't think I say anything that I wouldn't say in public. There you go.
Zingy used to live in Newcastle but now lives in Manchester. He lives in rented accomodation, has a mole on his left bum check and likes to dance around him kitchen in just his underpants So I've been told .........
I use this forum as a means for power, to exert my influence and domination over the members of the board. I get a power trip from banning rival members from the board and closing down threads. I would say I use the forum for discussing football, but we all know thats not what its here for. Edit: I also use it to be passive aggressive.
For me, I prefer serious debate on football. I don't know too many people in real life who have enough knowledge about football to talk football with. It's just a simple game to them and they have no interest to delve far into it. Of course there is room for humour also. Fans do behave differently. I know many people just nod and agree and make more room for compromise in real life, it's just easier. Whereas many people on forums will just give their real opinion no matter what.
