I agree totally with this. Everyone at our club has to now be professional, confident and ruthless.

This includes the manager, players and us.

And it starts on Saturday by getting all three points against Sunderland and ****ing them off back up North.

Every vocal matters on Saturday, we can build our teams confidence and get them over the line.

    Maffs innit??

10 games left, 30 points on the table, potential haul 50 points total. Lose Saturday recalibrate to 47. Totally agree that our mentality must be to go for them all, using any means necessary.

Agree with Dave......Next two games absolutely crucial to our survival.
Win them both and we are definately back in the mix.

Well we have a real chance to mend the mess that we have thus far made. We play all the teams around us...all 6 pointers, something the others teams don't have the luxury of. Some of the other teams have some real tough games as well. We may be bottom, but have by far the most favourable run in and so the prospect of pulling off the greatest escape in premier league history is a real one.

If we win this weekend it will be truly historic, we haven't had back to back wins since March 2011 when we were in the championship, and what a boost for everybody's confidence that would be. We need to avoid getting ahead of ourselves though because it won't be easy. Sunderland are very worried themselves about slipping into the danger zone and MON will have a definite strategy for this one. Lets hope Harry can keep them guessing about team selection and tactics for this one because there is so much at stake, not least maintaining our proximity to our fellow strugglers. It will be tough, but we can do it.

I think Sunderland at home is much more winnable than Villa away at this moment in time.

    All the best

True! But we need to win the 6 pointers. Loosing them would be a disaster!

As long as you can deal with the aerial threat of Benteke you should be alright.

Benteke is average without Weimann. If you stop those two, you stop Villa.

Lads can we keep this a little more low key...just like last week.....the saints lot were bigging themselves up bragging how they would put 3 or 4 past us...how they were not in a relegation battle etc....us, we played down our chances kept very level headed......thats what we need....one game at a time...get the next 3 points if we can.....not going to be easy, sunderland are a tough side......nice to have hope again, but in reality it is still stacked against us.......lets not get to ahead of ourselves.

Exactly, we're still crap, and will struggle to beat a team happy to come for a point.

Drawing to sunderland and winning at villa is better than vice versa. To win at Villa Samba has to do a job on Benteke and hes capable of doing that.

He has tremendous aerial ability and is deceptively quick. In a few years he could become a real top player.

Villa losing last night and us winning at the weekend has put a different sort of spin on the game but as we face Sunderland this weekend and they have to meet Reading there could be even more of a twist. I suppose the best result would be if we beat Sunderland (obviously) and that Villa and Reading share a point as a win takes either of them even further up the table.

I have to temper any enthusiasm with the fact that we just about beat a Southampton side who had the ball for nearly 70% of the game and Sunderland is in no way a guaranteed win either. Lots of us around the bottom of the table have to play each other and it is wins against the likes of Villa and Wigan that will seal our fate. I am not looking forward to needing points against Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool to stay up.
