All the best Ash - if you could know how many of us are pulling for you to come through maybe it could help - a Spurs fan whose daughter has been where you are and came through
As someone who has been fighting depression for longer than I care to remember, I send my best wishes to the family, nothing will ever be the same for them now, whatever the outcome, another journey has now started.
This world doesn't have enough good guys, and Ash is one of them. Hope he recovers and my thoughts are with him.
All the very best and wishing you make a good recovery Ash. From, I am certain, all at Portsmouth FC.
He may not be 'on our board', but he's still one of us. Wish him all the berst for a speedy recovery.
Not a visitor to the Swansea board these days, in fact this will be my first post over here this season, but have chatted with Ash many times during his excursions onto the Cardiff forum. As pleasant a young man as you'll find in this not606 cyber world we all occupy, and one that will greatly missed if he doesn't resume his posts. From what he has mentioned in the past, it was clear all was not plain sailing in his life, but I never expected to read this thread this morning. Ash - this board needs posters like you. Your efforts as a mod often seemed to go unappreciated by some, but you always tried to put across the voice of reason when things got a bit heated. We saw a different side of you on the Cardiff board the other evening when your club lifted the Carling Cup. Most of us put it down to the adrenalin rush and drink, but it's all too obvious now that there was far more to it than that. You had the balls to come on our board the next day and humbly apologise for your behaviour and that said a huge amount about your integrity. You deserve better than this mate - get well soon.
I don't normally post on here nor indeed much on our forum either but I wanted to add my reply and more importantly my best wishes to you and for a speedy recovery and that you can get through this dark time in your life and come out stronger I have been there and done that, when I was younger I broke up with my girlfriend and one thing lead to another (as these things tend to do) and I drove off to a quiet spot, parked up and attempted to poison myself with carbon monoxide. It was a miracle I was found (long story but take my word for it) and I spent a considerable time in a pressure chamber very ill but I did recover and things DID get better. I've had many ups and downs over the years in between but I now have a lovely wife, two adoring and adorable sons (4+6) so that just shows that you can come out of the darkness, things can get better but you have to fight for it and with the help of all of those around you you can get through this. I'm not a religious person so I can't say prayers for you but you will be on my mind and I will be hoping for a recovery so that you can see the number of people on this forum alone whom you have touched and who care for you let alone your friends and family who also love and care for you more than words can say. Hang in there my friend
Go on Ash - You CAN pull through. Your Swansea City and your family need you.... Hope he does - Best Wishes from a Tiger.
I see all forum moderators as colleagues as we all work very hard for a common cause so as a colleague and as someone who has lost 2 brothers to suicide I pray for Ash to get through this and get well soon. I hope Ash gets through this and that he and his family can get everything good moving forward. Please take comfort in knowing that you have not only mine but every not606 Liverpool's fans thoughts and prayers are with you.
I echo everyone's sentiments in wishing Ash well. I hope that he pulls through and is able to find the help he needs. My thoughts also go to his wife who, after the recent loss of their child, must be going through an horrendous time at the moment.
Get better soon Ash. If there is anybody else reading this who is thinking of doing the same, please don't. There is so much friendship waiting to be given to anybody who wants it.
My thoughts are with Ash , his family and friends at this time , know this is a football forum , but football doesn't really matter at times like this , wishing him a speedy recovery
guys i do not know Ash personally, some on here do, he supported me in becoming a mod on this board (god knows why), i am sure his wife, family and friends will thank you all for your good wishes, thank you so much from i am sure all swansea fans
Know a few people to have suffered from this and all I can say is never give up and you will pull through...you will.
