I can't imagine what he and his wife are going through but pass on the message to both of them that a total stranger cares. Another Watford fan.
So sad, I had some bad news last week about my wife. I'm saying prayers for her, but will be saying some for Ash. Just hope, pray and wish he pulls through.
Steve - you are a very good person to have posted this. I am very sad to read this news - it is horrible news. My thoughts and those of hundreds of other football fans are with Ashley even though most of us do not know him. I hope he recovers from his coma and goes on to make a full recovery. Please let his family know that the wishes he expressed have produced a response that I am sure he would want. My very best wishes - strangely I will be in Swansea tomorrow so will be thinking of him then too
Chico mate....Not much I can add that hasn't been said by someone before........On behalf of Saints fans we wish you and your family well and hope it will not be too long before we get the message that you are well and truly on the mend. You and your family will be remembered in our prayers. God bless........ BT
Just an awful bit of news to read and I cant really say a lot that hasn't already been said. Only that you can add another name to the long list of people hoping and praying for a full recovery.
Wishing him and his family well from a Leeds fan in Los Angeles, California. I don't know him, have not been in communication or come across him on these boards but we are all part of the footballing community so my thoughts are with him and his family. I hope it all comes good.
Just seen this , there is nothing else to say but as fellow footy fans I hope he pulls through ,thoughts to his family as well. When things like this happen it certainly puts things in perspective .
Pain, not mine to feel So raw to observe Fate unknown Life so damaged An outsider observing Helpless to soothe Anguish, sorrow A breaking heart A listening ear The intolerable Accepted with tenderness Held in my thoughts As reality sinks in Words echo, so empty As healing is sought May friendship warm your soul
Sad news, our thoughts go out to all concerned. I've never been in contact with Ash, but we're all part of a football family and in this together. Get well soon mate Simon (Hull City fan)
Life is so precious, and I'm very saddened to hear of this news, I hope and pray that Ash will fully recover, he's been such a positive influence on here, and is well thought of by all, we'll all be thinking of you Ash, pull through mate.
