A mate emailed me this: "Away fans are shoe-horned into the wretched Arthur Waite Stand down the side with ridiculously cramped seats that leave imprints on your knees and the highest number of pillars to block your view" ....sounds crap!
I'm going, and usually go to Selhurst Park, but it's never got any better every time I've gone. It might have actually got worse every time... Especially when you've got these egotistical moronic Palarse fans giving you grief everywhere you walk. Last time I went, last Season, 0-0 draw if I remember rightly, I went to a nearby cafe. Some Palace fans noticed my City shirt under my jacket and that was it, they were outside the window chanting Palace songs, and sticking two's up at me. It's not all bad though, once your in the Ground, your cold, in pain and waiting for the match to end...
It's fine. You can stand, you get to see an Eagle and some cheerleaders, what more do you need? - apart from City to tear them apart!!
I love the place, any traditional ground with a bit of an atmosphere is always a treat. It's not built for comfort or luxury but then again your going to watch football not an opera! Gutted I'm not going, enjoy it!
Unless you're a player for HCFC, I'm not sure why anyone would be wearing a City shirt. Maybe they were amused at a player fuelling up in a local cafe?
Fingers crossed the boys will be that good we'll be too busy jumping up and down to bother about our seating.
