Just got the new shirt. I have to say I am pissed off with the quality of the kit!

Where the security tags were, they have left big clicks. The northern rock bit on the front, this time it isn't just a big block, the black is part of the shirt, the letters are stuck on, some of them aren't even stuck down properly, its nothing major, but the second N on 'northern' is peeling off a little bit, nothing major, but I can notice it, surely it should be stuck down properly?

Any advice to people planning on going to buy it, analyse it first. Very tempted to take this back.

Take it back, did you get it from Sports Direct?

I ordered mine from nufc.co.uk last week safe to say it hasn't arrived yet :(

That's why Puma shirts are more expensive than the Adidas ones. They're ****. This means they have to make more to accomodate for all the returns and they have to put the price up accordingly. Don't worry though, when Ashley finally gets Lonsdale making the kit they'll be about £75.

Aye, Sports Direct, wish I got it over the net as the shirt was £40.

Definitely worse than last year! I am going to take it back, with the letter already peeling off, it will come off even more in the wash. And those 2 clicks on the back are ****ing ridiculous. Should never get anything like that from a security tag!

The one on the manuquin in the club shop looked good quality when I was in a couple of weeks ago.

Is the badge a proper stitched on one this time or a crappy ironed on thing again?

They won't allow me any money off another top but I am quite pissed off by this. If its this bad now, what is it going to be like after a few wears?

If it's like that now chances are you wont have a shirt after a few weeks.
People pissed off at products can get lucky with discount offers maybe worth a try especially if you make a fuss and point out the fact that the quality of the shirt they sold is really piss poor.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucking hell man, why are we still charged the same price for shirts that are no were near the same quality they were 4 years ago? Inflation has hardly been bad enough to explain it.

Saying this and being the schmuck that I am i'l probably still get it.

SportsDirect are bastards to deal with when it comes to returns. But, they are obliged to give you a refund if the shirt is damaged and at least an exchange.

They were clicky tops last year as well.
TBH though I'm suspecting that maybe Ashley has one kit made for the NUFC shop and one for Sports Direct as my home top from this year (from the club shop) is in a better state than the away I bought at Sports Direct and they've both been worn under the same stress so there's no other reason why.

I will just exchange it, but check every bit of the new shirt before I walk out the store again. The problem is with the security tags, they are going to appear on every shirt, yes?

From the store I'd imagine so. You should check first if it is the same again before taking it and if it is, could you not ask for one from the back stockroom that hasn't had a tag put on it yet?
I mean having never worked in a shop I dunno if they put the tag on in the Sports Direct warehouse in Nottingham before it goes to the shop or at the shop itself, but it's still worth asking.

Thing is, even if it's perfect when you buy it, it'll probably be in the same state after one wash. Puma's stuff is crap compared to Adidas. As far as I know, Puma are only contracted to make Newcastle stuff until the end of next season, hopefully we'll get Adidas back when it expires. No doubt we'll end up with Lonsdale or Donnay though, and SportsDirect.com as the sponsor.
