I've just watched the game on football first and I thought Park had a good game. Worked really hard and made a lot of effective tackles. Looked like his old self when he made the winner too.
However, Granero was useless.....again. All he did was lose possession....terrible and no wonder he was subbed.....again.
Thought Bosingwa, to be fair, played well and looked like he was geeing everyone up near the end. Good to see.
Bothroyd did ok and did well to be in the right place at the right time for the winner.
Great finish from Remy after a superb pass from Hoilett, another who I thought had a good game.
Lastly....what a save from Rob Green....fair play Rob!

Agree with you about Park, I thought he put in a rubbish performance, gave the ball away continually, put his colleagues under unecessary pressure with his poor passing, and was well off the pace of the game. For me Granero was about the best but of a weak midfield 3, But I forgave Park everything when he set up the goal, for a minute there he looked decent.

Amazing isn't it how we all see the same game so differently?
I honestly thought Granero was the worst player on the pitch and it seems that Harry was less than impressed too, as he took him off very early. On the other hand, I thought Park had easily his best game for us. As I say....amazing how we all see it differently eh?

Don't you just get about 15 minutes of highlights on MOD so it is adifferent game!. Apart from the 2nd goal "highlights" would exclude Park's contibution! We were appalling first 10 minutes of the 2nd half, when we couldn't get out of the back 30 meters, and though we kept giving the ball to Saints (Park central in this) they did nothing with it. MOD probably cut it?

No mate, read my posts again. I watched the whole game on Sky's football first. I stand by my appraisal of Park. Easily his best game for us and granero was the one giving the ball away most of the time. Me and the lad were sitting there saying...."given away, Granero again".

Absolute daft how anyone can say Park was shocking is beyond me ... Goes to show what opinions are Park was easily MOM with Samba a close second

Off the pace! Christ on a bike the boy put in a full shift today... are you blind lads did you not see his running and pressing? on about 64 he played the best bit of composed tidy midfield work when he drove past three players. I cannot understand these viewpoints ****ing livid that you get these nit picking comments on here.. you lot can't help yourselves can you? Col is bang on the money and credit for him seeing it. Park grew into this game it was very plain to see he is a very good player and i cannot agree with some on here ... amazing

Park was firefighting all afternoon, and did it very well. His run and pass down the line for the goal was a thing of beauty.

It's called opinions. For me he was poor and if he was the best player in the World (according to your comments) then so be it.

Well - Secret - actually they did try. We decided to get the train instead of drive. There were several hundred QPR in their 40's 50' and clad in Stone Island at the Fire Station at Waterloo at 11.00 in the morning. Scary lot - we moved on... it did feel like a cup final day. We took around 3000 officially and there were QPR fans spotted in the other stands as well. Managed to fit in three pubs on the way to the ground - all packed with QPR. At the end on the way back to the station - I personally saw three separate attempted attacks by Saints fans on the QPR contingent - who were generally delighted and amused by the south coast teenage wanna hooligans. All very 1980's quaint - police with truncheons out - people running around.. and yes it felt like a 80's cup game.

Back to the game - cannot understand the critics of Park on the board. Yesterday he looked like the player I hoped that we had bought. We harried and was tireless. His passing was no worse than anyone else - some of it being our own teams poor ability to anticipate a pass. We have got to get better at not losing the ball so easily but Park better than others IMO yesterday. Hill was superb yesterday - and Samba looks a bit fitter every time. Remy was cool and non panicked in front of the goal. So am not yet a believer - but clearly Harry picked the team who would work the hardest and it paid off.

At some point mid way through the 1st half - we - the away contingent - who generally (the train, pubs, crowd around me) had no belief - started to awake - I think we have been numbed for the last few home games as well - as we started to finally support our team- and it clearly impacted the home crowd and the home team - we intimidated them. I think we the crowd have lost belief for a few games now. Not sure we believe yet - but a pulse did come back to the corpse - as I saw on another post.

We only had about one third of the possession against Southampton but still managed to nick a couple of goals. I think we need to hang on to the ball a bit more in the last games of the season to stand any chance of getting more wins.

It's been all doom and gloom on here of late so at least there is something to cheer about. Well done the lads and the manager and all of you that made the trip. Nice to see Harry's reaction and gestures to the fans at the end of the match, he looked fired up.

Yes I agree with this Col and I was there. First half Granero wasn't too bad but within 5 mins of the second half he had given the ball away 3 times. Park was definitely better than he has been although he did his usual slip over as well!

ESPN did a review on tactics, they press very hard, their whole midfield and FBs push on when they havent got the ball, you have to go long when that happens and you get quality chances. Try to keep hold of it and theres a good chance you will lose it. I think thats why Granero went off, he wouldnt go long because hes been coached to keep it which fell right into their hands.

Its simple to get quality chances of them once youve found them out, go long and youve got a 1 on 1 and a good chance.
