I was hoping for at least 7 from the next three starting yesterday, think we will get a further 12 points from remaining fixtures 42 should be comfortable

I quote the line used in every Star Wars film " I have a bad feeling about this".

We are a team that seems to drop into long runs of not winning. We have done this for the last three seasons. If we do not end the run against QPR we will only get more edgy. Hopefully we play Man Utd on the back of an epic European game?

In summation when we slump we slump hard and this one is badly timed.

Wins are so important in this league, looking at the table Villa have won five games this season, Reading five and QPR a rather pathetic three. Theses teams are, in effect, seven points behind both our clubs with goal difference taken into consideration.

I'm tempted to think that these bottom teams aren't suddenly going to work wonders for the remainder of the season and actually start winning enough to catch up - however, the one thing that bothers me slightly is that they have games against each other coming up. Fair enough, when Reading play Villa next weekend there are only three points up for grabs but these are the games where the gap could be closed....unless both our teams win theirs.

Incidentally, my team have lost 14 of the 28 league games this season. Not good at all <grr>

That maybe one as well? Maybe Mon should work it into his team talk.

Remember Wilco? Remember the 15 point season? O Neil will come good in the end.

That will be his excuse when he gets caught with an under-age little girl.

I didn't say it is the worst team. I said it is the most boring, and it is. If I wanted to be bored I take the Mrs shopping it would be cheaper. No it still wouldn't be as bad as watching us at the moment.

10 points is all we need but, reckon we'll get 11 from those games. Again our home games are looking like our best bet for points chuck in a surprise away from home and we should be safe with 2/3 games to go.

Good OP IMO. I think it's ok to criticize boring football, but it's daft to think the good ship SAFC can be turned round overnight. We have to give MON a decent crack at the job before we start talking about new managers and, anyway, who'd come if we dumped him now? Be like Chelsea without the cash..
