    1. Changing managers is a stupid idea <doh>
    2. Sessegnon is a game changer and the most talented player we have
    3. Graham is a Geordie and has pledged his professional services to our club, he needs a few more games
    4. Cattermole has consistently been our best midfielder for the last 3 seasons, he breaks up play, wins the ball and his distribution has improved
    5. The team has been beset with injuries all season and I cannot remember a time when we've had our best 11, fully match fit on the field at the same time
    6. If you are a 'supporter' get behind the team!

    /my 2 cents for what it's worth <getting tired of the boo-boys on here>

If MON was any good shouldn't you finish higher then you did last season, ok he's got a lot of Bruce's players including Mignolet Sessegnon O'Shea and Cattermole, but he had over a season to sort things out plus added Fletcher Johnson etc

It depends, the league isn't the same league as it was last season, so a true direct comparison can't really be given. The differing approaches of the managers needs to be appreciated too. MON tending to slowly build a squad whereas Bruce seemed by a new squad every window- providing short term solutions but planning ahead.

Well QPR/Reading bottom 2 and westham not that good. MON seems slow to change anything, how long was McClean crap befoe he was dropped,
and why only 6 subs, I thought it would be good for a youngster to get a taste of the 1st team experience on matchday even he's not going to get a game

Maybe because you can't throw brown envelopes at everything like your previous manager did perhaps?

Read MONs quote on why there was only 6 on the bench.

Look **** face, we are not interested about your thoughts or opinions on our manager, club, fans or players. Stick to your own 1 man teams problems, as when your only decent player Bale actually goes to a proper big club and decides not stay at a pretend one, you'll be totally and utterly ****ed.

For your limited intellect, there were actually 7 subs named yesterday but Killgallon got injured in the warm up and there wasn't enough time or inclination to run around looking to get a replacement.

Now feck off and prepare for Wenger's demolition of your ****ty little club.

I think the 6 subs has been addressed. They don't want a youngun to think they've "made it" without actually earning it. I don't personally agree with this policy as I think it'd be great insight for any youngster to get the experience. 50% of being a sportsman is mental ability, I bet Cattermole makes them in from 25 yards in training, but put the pressure of 40,000 people watching you affects your ability. The sooner youngsters grasp the true match day experience the better i think

good post parker , there are many far better players that dont make it for that very same reason , i can recall a keeper who really had it all but sufferd such dreadful nerves before the game he was empty before he started the match , he could be found in the toilet in a right mess , and he had to pack the game in, and this was at a club in the old div 1.
i think you are right about this blooding and getting the feel , because if the player freezes through nerves it could be a waste of a lot of investment from the club

We had 7 subs mate but Gary Bennett said on the way in to the match yesterday that Killgallon broke down in the warm up so we went with 6 subs. There is no great cover up here.

Being a boxing fan its very evident with some fighters and not just young ones stepping up. Audley Harrison is a good example, he has everything ability wise to be world champ but in his two biggest fights he's frozen and not been able to throw a punch, he's weak minded. Its the same reason Andy Murray kept losing major finals and why Tim Henman couldn't get to one. Germans and penalties also springs to mind
