Right folks, this thread is getting silly. Either keep he comments constructive or I'll close it down.

Swans fans, fair play your team won a tight game that could have gone either way. <Ok>
Just so you know, Tash always writes a post match review and rates our players. I think his commentary is more blanced than the title suggests and certainly not deluded. Open debate welcome, but childish bickering isn't. <ok>

The game itself said it? <doh>

Ridiculous attempt at a counter argument.

Also stats don't mean much. You can put 10 **** shots on target that the opposition keeper easily deals with, and claim at the end - "Look at the stats, 10 shots on target, we were so unlucky".

Just agree to disagree please, and be more respectful in the future.

Guys we are all disappointed at not getting anything from the game but there's no point causing petty arguments. Yes on the 2nd half display we should have got something, but we didn't. We failed to take our chances and Swansea caught us with abit of a sucker punch. I think both sets of fans would have been abit annoyed to come away with nothing, we did, so we have to accept it. We need to just forget about today and focus on Thursday now. I wish Swansea well for the rest of the season because they are a club who I enjoy watching, but lets just focus on Thursday now and hope we aren't so wasteful infront of goal then.

He has been somewhat gash. But we are stuck with him now as our main man until at least the end of the season. We could attempt to play le Gouff up front instead, but he also missed a glorious chance today, thems the breaks. I think the midfield will take up some of the slack, Cabs and Sissoko like to score the odd goal, and HBA too once he eventually returns (why wasn't he in the squad today?).

This. I like Swansea as a club to be honest and have been very impressed with the way they have done things over the last two years. Annoyed with some of the snide stuff from certain Jacks on our board though.

Most of your shots were well outside the box and mainly off target. A world class keeper like Vorm isn't going to be beaten by those. We had a nail-on pen turned down and a clearance off the line. So no, not a "ridiculous" counter argument at all. Difficult to respect an opinion when it's so biased. Most Swans fans and neutrals are saying a draw was a fair result and Newcastle were hard done by. That's balanced - and true.

As much as you're entitled to an opinion I'm entitled to say it's wrong and doesn't reflect the game I watched live.

As for bickering, maybe the Toon fans who posted rubbish like "Swansea shouldn't be in this league, the ****ers" and "two bit Club" should look at themselves. Don't expect Swans fans to say nothing in response to that.

Anyway, the Toon needn't fear relegation. The French imports are doing well and you should make mid-table imo. I think you'll do much better next season. <ok>

We lost and probably a 1-0 defeat reflects the game accurately in my opinion. Swansea where not at their best but Newcastle where a little flat also. I put it down to a lack of plan b for the game. Alan Pardew isn't too resourceful with his ideas to be honest and we needed something more than the option of lumping Shola on for 10 mins.

Apologies for that mate, was pissed off with some of the other comments I had read. Although the music after a goal is still really naff.

I don't think any of us really believe that about Swansea. Like I have said a couple of times, I really enjoy watching you guys, and you are a great example to the like of ourselves that you can win a trophy in an era dominated by a few of the bigger clubs. Most of those comments have probably been said out of pure frustration on our part for not taking our chances.

I'll take my leave now Obi. My intention wasn't to wind anyone up. Seems exception was taken to my use of the word 'deluded', but I stand by that because I think the OP, whilst entitled to his opinion, was way off the mark....and others seem to agree I'm glad to say.

I can understand Toon fans being frustrated at a smash and grab - it's happened to us the season too - but I suggest you urge your posters to THINK before they post insulting comments about other clubs. It does a great Club like yours no favours. <ok>
