We've played better this season and been losing. Would like to see us keep the ball a bit better in the second half.

I have a Dutch mate who supports Ajax and he told me how good Suarez was at free kicks before he signed. It's like Gerrard was always the primary penalty taker too, even though Kuyt was a great penalty taker too.
decent but wigan are awful so its hard to say. we are being sloppy a lot and reina has saved some blushes. Downing got a header then spent the half back passing... did get once to byeline and as per ballooned it way past the far post... coutinho looked decent but wasn't got o nthe ball in good positions enough for me. we need to ge thim on the ball. Suarez has got his goals so is now on for anything... can't wait to see what he does next. Johnson is not doing very well... enrique is very sloppy in clearing his lines. i dunno wigan are bloody awful so their revival has not started yet this season thankfully. I hope we come out second half and punish them not sitting back and messing. All in all 3-0 is a very nice gift from wigan, the first was very poor defending but a bit of nice stuff from the new boy too.. the second was too much space given by their midfield and the third was a nice bit of luck for us for once. We had lots of other chances/ half chances etc and if downing would just think to play forward not back we might get more Here's to 6-0....

Really impressed with Coutinho, he shows great vision, and always looks for an incisive pass. With Sturridge in the line up, we'd be alot stronger. we could have a great end to the season. Hopefully
Talk Sport were saying that when Martinez was Swansea manager they played great passing football but could not keep a clean sheet, the defending was awful. Paolo Souza took over and instantly worked on the defense so that they could keep a clean sheet. Sounds like Martinez has the same thing going on here. Wigan dont keep clean sheets. I'm so glad he is not our manager. I do like Martinez though and hope he moves to a much bigger PL club at some point in the near future. Not Chelsea though, they would destroy him. Arsenal maybe.

yes coutinho can only play whats in front of him but the important thing is he found suarez so the wavelength must be right and he found gerrard nearly too. he's got a lot of space to do it in though so i don't think at least we can say he's up to speed for a game against spurs for instance yet... that will be a big test for him. Should just enjoy this outing and try to get a goal or make suarez another now. What would deeply annoy me now is that we've got here now lets take advantage and win big. we had a idsaster of a week two weeks ago that ended our season but swansea and wigan can put us on a better road to get up to 5th or 6th.

I disagree about couthino taking up good positions. He got into a great position between the Wigan midfield and back four for suarez's first goal. Then played the perfect killer pass. Can't ask for much more really.

Could well be 6-0... Wigan was so awful. It is really difficult to judge how good Liverpool was. Is this the flat track bully syndrome - crushing lower teams but struggling against top 6 ones.? Interesting to see whether Rodgers will say after the match that Liverpool can now challenge for top 4 ?
He is when the free kick is placed for a cross into the box. For shooting and scoring positions he is only good at them.
It's top 2 duh Still gotta finish the game first, One more goal and I would feel much better about flat out saying we will win.
