If it's true that, as reported, Harry stayed with his wife in a separate hotel from the players and other coaching staff, effectively treating it as a holiday himself, then he can't really have any complaints that the players did the same thing.
I heard he only suggested going there because he wanted to tie up some property developement/investment, so thought he'd kill two birds with one stone. Shame he forgot he brought the team with him.
His hotel was the only one that excepted being paid in cash in brown envelopes. Well that or the dog was paying.
It's not like he should have to lead by example. They had to play a Premier League match at the weekend, he didn't. He shouldn't have to watch over them like a bunch of children.
They should have behaved responsibly, but Redknapp should have seen what was going on and nipped it in the bud on day 1. The players should be ashamed that they repaid their owner's generosity like that. Also possible that this is media exaggeration. The interesting point is the divisions in the camp...you need to stick together to fight relegation.
I so want this story to be true. But there's a reason why I don't read the tabloids - "truth" is an alien concept to The Mirror's editors.
I just hope that we don't become complacent ourselves and believe this load of tat. Nothing wrong with going for a bit of sunshine this time of year, I would love to do that myself. I want our team to turn up, do a professional job and play to their strength and ability and that wlll surely get us a result, still plenty of unknown factors to spoil the party though, poor officiating, poor breaks, unexpected injury, we have seen it all before, we know we are good enough, we know we have the better side, now let's hope fate smiles on us, this is a very important game and could be the final turning point for our survival, get behind the team, forget the Twitch bitchy and roar us on to victory, COYRs.

There defintely sounds like there's smoke to this fire and I have to say that's come as a massive boost. Despite their pitiful form I've always had it in my head that they would get out of it as their side should be doing much better than it is on paper, and Harry keeps sayin he thinks they'll get out of it and to be fair to the bloke despite what he done here, he does tend to know what he's on about. But it would seem from this report that he's takin it as a pay day as much as the rest of them and just saying the right things to the camera. Has he lost his love for the job? Could this player be right that he'll walk away at the end of the season...? On the eve of what I think is a massive game this is a massive boost. I was even saying to a pal yesterday that whilst we of course want to win and should target these sorts of games for a win, a draw wouldn't necessarily be a bad result as I think that Villa and one of Reading or Wigan will go and its just the last place between QPR, whoever loses the Reading/Wigan fight and ourselves and would therefore be one game less for them to catch us up at all. Anyway on to our club. Lets hope we play and certainly defend a little better today than last week. COYR
Joe, you must realise that young footballers (remember old ones are only 30 somethings) live in a coccoon that is not like real life and they tend not to grow up too wisely, and often show child-like tendencies. Me thinks Mr Redknapp is getting too old to manage them in a fatherly way.

"Quite right Harry," said Sandra, nodding approvingly. "We deserve it." Couple of days later Tony phoned. "Harry! How is training going?" Harry shifted uncomfortably in his sunbed. "Alright. Probably." "And Samba? Is he proving worth £12m? Is he losing weight?" "I like Samba. He's a top, top player," said Harry. "Listen, I've got to go, we're just running some extra training drills or something." Harry looked at Sandra and took a long sip on his pina colada. "I think I'd better check in on training tomorrow." "Oh Harry! What about our camel ride?" "It won't take long." Harry made it to the training ground about nine-ish. All the lads were there, Samba, Jermaine, some of the others that he didn't know so well. Steve Cotterill scuttled over like an obsequious beetle. "Alright 'Arry? What you doing 'ere?" "Just checking in. Whats going on? Why are they all sitting about?" "Few of the lads is hung over." "Oh. Right." "Do you want me to run some tactical drills? We've got the United game next week, I think we should work on our defensive structure." "Nah. Just tell 'em to run about a bit," said Harry, waving a regal hand. Harry watched the lads for a few minutes, seeing how many of them he could name. Not many. It was better at Spurs, he thought wistfully. At 9:20am he called it. "Alright, that'll do lads. Don't want to overwork it. Same time tomorrow." Harry rushed back to the hotel, but he was late for the camel ride. Sandra was furious. It wasn't the end of the world though, he could always do one tomorrow. Hang the expense. Tony will pay.
