Millwall rejected them at Leeds before, and I've seen another game where SSN commented about there being no away fans due to the police doing this. Neither case did any good for the fans of the club in future.

The club needs to accept the tickets, and at the same time everybody needs to pursue the legal and political situation.

The ones you mentioned ONLY rejected the tickets. In itself that will do nothing much, but an empty stand backing any action could work.

Action after a game where we sold our reduced allocation would be harder to pursue. If nothing else, it's a gesture from the club because, a few on this board aside, City fan groups are calling for support from the Club.

The last thing I would expect is the club to support its fans. It is not how they roll.

You will all be there, just like i will. Assuming i can get a ticket of course, now there are only 1500.

I'm not going. I'm going to my local <ok>

My neighbours are going though, and I don't respect them any less for it.

An empty stand would only be a good political tool if there was a massive protest outside the ground with the TV cameras there.

You've lost the point in the argument.

Normally, i wouldn't care about people going to see City, normally i'd be glad to see that many go follow the lads, but being the wessie police's lapdogs for the afternoon is never a good thing.

This isn't a compromise, it's a cave in from the club.

Like a puppet on a string comes to mind.

Or a press release about the court case. The empty stand is more the gesture, in itself it means nothing.

Forgive me for not ploughing through every response to this thread, but here is my dilemma:

I'm a hull City season ticket holder. Have been a supporter for many years, since '54, and lived in Canada for the last 40 years. ****ing expensive to get to the 3-6 home games every season. Have not been there to see a live match in two years, but listen to Tigers Player every game, and watch the videos 2 days later on the same. read this site avidly ( fool that I am), HDM (even bigger mug that I am) and any other source available.

I happened to pick a flight from Canada to Manchester on the day of the Huddersfield game ( original k.o. time @ 3 pm). That would have allowed me to train it to 'Udders, to stop off & kiss Harold Wilson's statue, watch the game, and get me back in 'Ull to stay with me remaining family, stay there to see the last 4 home games & celebrate promotion to the promised land.

I abhor what Sky & the WYP have created here, ****ed me up completely. I thoroughly appreciate (and support) the stance most of you guys are proposing (send the ticket allocation back etc etc), but I am relieved that the game is actually on sky in the evening, so I'll get to see the game anyway ( I'd rather have been live in 'Udders, cos I miss the atmosphere).

However, decrying "old farts" from taking TT is a bit rich....perhaps they're not as vocal as some would wish, but the fact they go to away games should indicate they are true fans. They have earnt their money, and deserve to spend it as they see fit...supporting City. A noble cause.
Making strong boycott statements, despite the internal satisfaction and a potential long term benefit, will have ZERO impact on the way the WYP or other ****ers in power (club management, government policy on crowd control etc etc ) change the status quo for THISs season.

Get to the game if you can, support the team, have a few bevvies beforehand, but don't criticize those who do if you don't. Take up the cause after the end of the season.

Well done Wolves tonight...still in our hands...keep supporting..

I agree, a total boycott is my preference, but that's not going to happen. High principles are too often let down by a low consensus of opinion.

Far better to put energies and frustrations into an attendance that is an intelligent protest, yet supportive of our team - because that is what we are supporters. Let it not become political or malicious as that dilutes our sense of outrage.

There is the wisdom and ability within our ranks to turn this around, but it needs a different focus to what I see on here. Why not lobby the club t to offer coaches from Manchester (one coach would do) call it Tiger Travel and laugh on the drive in. Make them look like the fools they are, because a sense will not achieve that, banners and dignified (humorous) protest will be captured on camera and will play whenever the fools try a repeat of this on some other club.

    Yes refuse.

If that doesn't happen, boycott. But, clearly, that won't happen.

I wouldn't have been going so I think it would be wrong for me to tell those who are going , or who would have gone what to do.

But it's good to see the thoughts of those who are going, or would have gone .

If he's still pursuing it it will not be determined before the match. It would therefore not assist us, but may assist football supporters in general for the future.

    Having personally suffered at the hands of incompetent policing I'm all for highlighting the actions of this bunch of fascists. Unfortunately a boycott won't happen so here are a few suggestions;

    1. All 1700 fans stay outside the ground before kick off chanting 'FASCIST' at the police.

    2. Enter the ground on mass (approx 50%) wearing those cheap mini police helmets and donning plastic truncheons, then start pretending to hit the fan next to us over the head with said truncheons. I'll be taking my 12 year old lad and it would look hilarious a 'policeman' truncheoning a small boy on SKY.

    3. At the end of the game all 1700 fans hold a sit in, chanting at WYP, SKY will surely notice and comment will be made during the post match summing up.

    Thoughts ??
