I got halfway through that and had to come back on here to see if it was some sort of wind-up. I was hoping to see a load of those grinning smileys and some comments about what 'a terribly funny piece of satire' it was...
Is this for real? I'm beyond gobsmacked. I've seen some bizarre articles about QPR in my time, but this just about takes the biscuit. Makes 'The Four Year Plan' look like a serious documentary on how to successfully run a football club. Wow.

I really want to believe the article is just tabloid rubbish... But those are direct quotes. Would any paper seriously fabricate that sort of thing? Clint hill has been outspoken in the past, and the image of him accompanied by this: " Giggs scores againt QPR: "It was almost impossible for us to play against United," said a player" is a pretty big clue, if one was needed.

Complete and utter fiction. I'm amazed the Mirror is still allowed to exist. But in Britain, we're trying really hard to prove to the world that there is a true freedom of press, rather than the way they do it in America, by side-bar style and labeling the journo's opinionated pieces as "commentary" to get around the laws there.

But should the tabloids be allowed to carry on making money with this drivel they publish? <doh>

Well, if this is even somewhat true, what the 'holiday' neglected to sought out, the Championship will.

I'm sure, then, that we can look forward to the club successfully taking legal action against the Mirror because of the complete lack of truth in this wholly invented article.

You haven't been to Dubai then? Drinking is confined to bars and clubs within hotels and hotel complexes. But within those complexes the drinking is most definitely not restrained. On my numerous business trips there I've seen colleagues getting extravagantly hammered and observed members of the various UK, European, US, Asian and non-Gulf Arab ex-pat communities getting uproariously pissed. Dubai is a paradox of warped thinking. A man can get ticked off for holding his wife's hand in a shopping mall and, later the same day, be up to his eyes in booze and Russian hookers with no fear of consequence. It's all about sticking to the hotels.

I can see this being true but i reckon there were some players who did not do this such as Hill and Samba because they look like players who wouldnt disrespect the club and Taarabt Traore and Diakite because of religious views. The player who speaks out about this sounds like Hill because they go on to say its a regular starter and Hill's one of the only players who starts who actually cares about the club. My view on it is that there was a lack of discipline at the start with wages, starters(Big names with useless performances) and how the players treat the club. Its just abysmal.

We are bound to be in the spotlight as we have become the perfect target and source for headlines by the vultures... Money and poor performances If we get out if this I hope the press gets some payback from us fans ... They read this online paper for sure and we have an untapped power on here to fight these idiots . I noticed Savage having a baby pop at Samba's wages which the club and himself has said is not true

Re Dubai I make this point

We were not the only premiership club out there ... No mention of that

I have difficulty understanding the magnitude of the hatred of Redknapp that comes from Saints fans. Surely, it is only because of his Portsmouth connections? Being a near-resident of Southampton, and with many friends and acquaintances being die-hard Saints fans, I remember the ecstasy bordering on orgasm when he left Portsmouth and subsequently became Saints manager. My friends were delighted as they were "stealing" a top manager from their bitter rivals. But the task of keeping them up was a big ask - and the QPR job is undoubtedly even more challenging - and Redknapp failed. Performances in the Championship were poor the following season, as they often are with many teams relegated from the PL, and he left to go back to Pompey. I'm guessing that had his connections been with any other club we wouldn't be seeing this level of hatred. Does any Saints fan honestly believe Redknapp set out to fail at Southampton?

There are parallels with Mark Hughes at QPR (and quite possibly Wilkins many years before; maybe more so with Fester because of his Chelsea DNA), but to actually hate either is quite ridiculous. Neither set out to fail. By all means we can criticise the signings they made, the teams and tactics they employed, the culture they engendered, but hatred is just plain daft.

Be scornful of their inadequacies, naïveté and downright incompetence, as we are all armchair experts - some also have Important Hats :D too - because that set our clubs on downward spirals. This bitter, bitter hatred is another thing altogether.

    Help me understand it, please.

Ignore what you read in the gutter press based, so they say, on sources they are not prepared to name. Let's look at the facts instead. We have been ****e all season. There clearly are divisions in the dressing room based on money and attitude and all our managers since Warnock have to take responsibility for that. Whether the trip to Dubai is justified will become apparent by 5 pm this afternoon. if it was worthwhile and heals the divisions it will show in the performance. If not and I was the owner I would want my manager to explain to me what the purpose of it was. i would also ask him to tell me in his own words what happened while they were there. No bullshit Harold. "Yeah. It was good. I like X, he's a good lad. I don't know how much a gin and tonic costs. I did n't see anything. I didn't hear anything. I wasn't told anything." doesn't cut it for me any longer. Neither does, "We've done really well since I came here - we beat Chelsea and drew with Spurs, City and West Ham". That was a month ago. I'm more focused on the failures to score at home in 5 matches (might be down to the failure to take shots inside the area or even to get men in the box) and the second humiliation to Swansea this season

Watched the wolves watford game last night, the ground was around 60% empty, i can see us going the same way.
After many years of following the R's i truely beleive this is our lowest point. I havent been to any of the last 6 games despite having a season ticket as i have left previous games in such a foul mood. No enjoyment in thr R's. Perhaps football has had its day or maybe i have just fallen out of lov with a beautiful game which has been spoilt by greed and money. Fact is we are going down and i dont give a fuk anymore.

Of course you give a fook mate, that's why you're on here. We all feel the pain. If we went down fighting, it would at least make it more palatable. As it is, it's death by a thousand cuts.
DT is right above. We are an easy target for the media vultures.
Regardless of this article, I think it's fair to say that there are serious divisions at our club. Our squad is full of quality players who have consistently under performed. NW, MH and now Harry seemed to have failed in their attempts to gel them. Ridiculous wages seems to be the common denominator. I said a few weeks ago that many will regard us as one of the worst Prem teams ever. I stand by that statement at this present time. We have a team full of players with international experience , Prem medals, Champ league medals and even a World Cup winner all on very very generous wages and yet somehow they have won two league games all season. The famous West Ham team that went down did not have our quality and experience.
999s is right. Everything else has failed this season. It's time to unleash the hounds and at least have a bloody go.

C'mon mate .............. things aren't that bad ............ being in Division 2 was bad. For however long we are in the PL, we should embrace it while we are still in it.

What would happen if we did go down and stayed down for say, ten years.
You'd think back to when we were last in the PL ............ and regret that you didn't take the opportunity to enjoy it to the best of your ability. So our team is losing. No one is happy about it but if you don't take the opportunity to enjoy it while you can, well .................
