As per the title , why not give teams their full name ? Although they do give a certain team from west yorkshire their full name

Laziness mate. Or an attempt to place us on a lower order than everyone else because of the rest of the Countries opinion on Hull.

Hahaha good point; especially when they used to play in Hove at the Goldstone! Unfortunately all that remains at the goldstone now is burger king, Sportsdirect, toys'r'us pets at home and a comet. Bloody brilliant.

The London based media mafia have a plan to remove us from history, so they either downplay our achievements or only post negative stuff about us.

Or maybe it's just easier to shorten names?

who cares , the BBC has become a poor imitation of its former self over the last 20 years , its a horrible censored lazy media fit for the 21st century
It used to be something to be proud of

Its nothing against us as a single club. The media call very few clubs by their correct name, its the few they care about get the correct name

They don't give most teams their full titles. Deal with it.

I know it's part laziness but could it not have to simply with the fact that there are no other clubs called hull (something) or birmingham (something) and therefore they feel there's no need to specify. I mean it's not just us, they omit Charlton's atheltic, Bolton's wanderers, Ipswich's town and many more... I guess it may be down to historical habit. They never forget to put forest or united in Nottingham and Leeds respectively. Might be because of their history.
Either way it's slightly disrespectful but we've gone over it many times .
