Going to the Wigan game 2moro, but yet again it will be half full, because a combination of the wigan local council and wigan police wont give LFC a larger slice of the ground due to safety reasons, A few yrs ago they used to us 6/7k and used to rehouse a few Wigan season ticket holders for 1 game, now we get 4500

If LFC got 15,000 seats for this game, they would sell them and fill the stadium, it pi**es us fans off, it must really annoy Dave Whelan, who spent and arm and a leg of making the new stadium, only for the local authorities to deam he is never allowed to fill, and it harms Wigan Athletic.By the way Wigan wont allow fans to by a ticket for this game in there end, unless you have already watched a game this season, meaning away fans cant buy them

Its 2013 FFS, isnt it time this was sorted

    Joke of a club imo.

They're only taking 1200 of the 4000+ tickets that they could have had for the FA Cup QF at our place next week.

A short trip up the road for a cup QF & they can only muster 1200!

I really hope they get relegated this season.

How many of the returned allocation can be re-directed to Everton supporters? It would seem fair for Wigan to be charged for the seats that cannot be re-allocated.

I wouldn't go that far. They kind of defy logic.

TBH they are a RL town with a poulation of less than 100,000 people , 20 miles form Manc and 20 miles form Liverpool, hardly likely to get big crowds, a lot of people who live there support LFC,MUFC,EFC,MCFC

Not sure Dave, I think it'll depend on segregation & Police advice.

I know, which is why they shouldn't be a PL club. They wouldn't be anywhere near the PL if it wasn't for Whelans £M's.

The fact that a poorly supported club like them is keeping a 'proper' club like the many that are marooned in the Championship, doesn't sit right with me.

    Exactly.

Using School's logic we wouldn't bother playing seasons out - just put all the top supported clubs in the top flight and we'll have a friendly.

No, not at all mate. I'm all for the plucky underdog coming through & having a chance at the big time. Blackpool, Hull City etc, they've come up against the odds & their fans have relished the experience, selling out all over the country & at home. Wigan only came through the divisions thanks to Whelans cash & once in the PL, have not expanded their fanbase, don't sell out anywhere, not even at home & therefore imo bring nothing to the best League on the planet.

Of course no-one can simply take their place away, but there's nothing to stop me hoping that they drop out of the division & back down the pyramid.

Still can't get why we didn't loan Coates to them, especially with Martinez there to help him blend in and some south americans in the team as well.

did they ask for him then, and we said no?

if we did, don't understand it either, but maybe we tried to loan him out but they didn't want him, not sure what purpose it served keeping him here with no game time, Europa maybe for injuries.
