Clark, Zola and Poyet have all come out this week and said they'd like to manage us in the future. I'm pretty sure Hughes would also take it at the drop of a hat.

Maybe it won't be the next appointment but if somewhere down the road we were to bring in an ex player as manager, who would everyone most like to see?

Zola would be great in that he is a true legend but Clark probably has the best CV. I know it's probably too early for any of them but just throwing it out there.

I'd go for Clark here and now with JT as assistant!!

Clarke has the best cv, but is still a young manager. It would be better for him to stay at West Brom and grow as a manager.

After the sacking of Robbie I really don't want an ex player manager. None of them will win what Robbie did with us. Could you imagine the fans if Zola was sacked?

Of these 3 Clarkie would be my choice, as much as I respect Franco and Gus! Cant see it happening though!

I'd accept Clarkie but he'd be limited at european level.

Agreed though the way we are going, it may be only ex-players who'd want to come!!

You're all missing the glaring option who fits all your wish lists:

    The one and only

    MARK HUGHES

One things for sure, you'll never be in this position again once he's finished with you!!!

I did moot him in my OP but I wasn't expecting anyone to pick him tbh!!

Hughes at QPR proves he shouldn't be given any money!!

Hughes was once touted as the next best thing and is not up to it imo.

As for Clark, no way is the guy up to managing a top flight club.

Does my head in the old 'let's give the legends a go' - the game, and especially the club, have moved on a bit over the last decade or so and we shouldn't be looking at these lightweights to take us forward.

All 3 look like they're doing well. Not ready for a top PL side yet though and wouldn't want Zola or Clarke to be treated like **** by our foolish trio of tits running the club.

Unfortunately, I think our next Manager will be 'Arry "my dog looks after the money" Rednap. He loves to spend a buck or 2 and will be looking for employment when QPR go down. Not a personal preference by any standard, but could see it happening

You can say that again, we'd be somewhere in the second division. Hughes is absolutely useless as a manager, and should not be let near a football team for any reason, especially ours, we have enough problems already.

Hughes has the advantage of being a long term Chelsea fan, which means he'd be doing things for more than just a big pay packet.

I'm a long term Chelsea fan and I'd be useless as manager. Same as Hughes - once touted as the next MUFC manager and they wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

Not as useless as Rafa though bloo ;-)

I still always see Hughes in a red shirt somehow for me he was always
Manchester. Either way I don't raTe him as a Manager.

My IPhone is **** on 606 so apologies if this comes out crap as laptop is dead :-(

The reason why they have not extended Lampard's contract , is because they want him to be the next manager .

One of my mates supports Chelsea and I asked him if he could pick any Manager, who would he like at SB next season.

    He said Harry Redknapp!

    Nailed on.

    <probably>

  18. Can I just say, that I'd love it if Sparky became your next manager <laugh>

Seriously, you'd be better of with Mick McCarthy.
